If you could visit any place (real or fictional) from any book you have read, where would it be (if in Narnia, be specific):

Fictional places:

From Narnia, I would love to visit the Cauldron Pool, Cair Paravel, and The Pevensie era Felimath.

From "Neverending Story", Atreyu's home of the Greenskins, Amarganth, the Silver City

My city in Lyra's world after "The Amber Spyglass"

Hogsmeade in "Harry Potter"

Real places:

Ireland from "A Wizard Abroad"

Yorkshire from "The Secret Garden"

Australia from "Hitler's Daughter"

To be different:

Has anyone read Richard Adams' "Shardik"? Part of this novel depicts a semi-wilderness area with a dangerous rushing river passing through it. The narrative tells how a resourceful man organized the uneducated locals to set up a ferry over the river that would permit commercial traffic, thus improving conditions for the community. It may not sound like much alongside Narnian settings, but it was vividly described; and ever since Timbalionguy wrote his terrific speculative account of the building of Cair Paravel, my interest in ancient and medieval engineering has been increased. So I would like to visit that place.

in Narnia: Archenland and Cair Paravel

In Lord of the Rings: Gondor, Lothlorien, or Rivendell...in Gondor, particularly Minas Tirith.

real places:
Ireland, Scotland, Australia, and New Zealand *NZ because of LOTR, haha.*

Narnia: Cair Paravel, the Stone Table, the Lamp Post
LOTR: Rivendell, Lothlorien
HP: Hogwarts, Hogsmeade
Star Trek: Vulcan, Deep Space Nine, the Enterprise

Ooh, tough question.

Narnia - Cair Paravel, Fords of Beruna
The Tomorrow Series - Cobbler's Bay, the Hermit's house, Corrie's place, Turner Street, EVERYWHERE!! 'cept maybe the ambush at Buttercup Lane and the Massacre at Harvey's Heroes.
The Inheritance Cycle - Carvahall, Ellesmere, Dras-Leona, Teirm, and Beor Mountains
Harry Potter - Hogwarts, Hogsmeade, Godric's Hollow, and The Burrow.

Real:Scotland (from Kathleen Morgan's series),Ireland,Wales,and England.

and America in the 1950s....:p

Fictional:Narnia(The Beaver's Dam,Mr. Tumnus's house)
Lord of the Rings (The Shire..I'd like to live there.;))

America in the 1950's was not so thoroughly bigoted and racist as America-bashers and Christian-bashers want you to believe. In those days, for instance, there were at least two TV shows (not counting "The Lone Ranger" with Tonto) that featured Native American characters in heroic lead roles. One was an adaptation of "Last of the Mohicans," and the other was called "Brave Eagle, Chief of the Comanche."

Oh,I don't think it was bigoted and racist at all,CF.:)
I love listening to "The Lone Ranger" on "When Radio Was".:D
I watch mostly old TV and movies, and read history, and old magazines, and I love how simple, and wholesomely good and decent the 1950s appear.Teens then didn't ahve to deal with the filth thats forced onto my generation.Thats why I wish I could have lived then.:(

In the Real world: Yorkshire, Derbyshire, Hertfordshire, Ireland, Ancient Rome, Athens, New Switzerland (read Swiss Family Robinson), Ancient Briton, France/London from the Scarlet Pimpernel, London from Sherlock Holmes, a great many places during specific time periods.

In fantasy: Pretty much anywhere in Narnia (Cair, Tumnus's House, Aslan's How, the Beaver Dam, Tashbaan, Aravis's Home, Latern Waste, the Lamp Post, Cauldron Pool, the Garden, Stormness, the Hermit's house, Archenland, the Magician's House, the Star's Island, etc.). Though I am not much of a LotR's fan: Loth Lorien, Rohan, the Shire, Rivendell, Merkwood, Minas Tirith. There are places in the book I am writing that I would love to visit. Also a great many places that would be in our world if it were different (think the super heroes stories)

And Bayport..wherever that is...:p
I think there may really be a Bayport somewhere though....:D
