Actually I finished it a while ago but didn't get around to posting until now. :p Anyway, Aslan said that everyone died in the train reck (meaning the four kids) so did everyone actually die in Prince Caspian when the train was heading into the station. Sorry, I'm just a little confused.

No - nothing to do with Caspian. That was a different train wreck, which is "off stage" to the story (though Eustace gives it a passing mention somewhere in the middle.)

In Prince Caspian there wasn't actually a train wreck, the children were just pulled out of the station by magic. In last battle the children (with the exception of Susan) are really in a train wreck, and they all die and get into Aslan's country, heaven.

I hope you liked the book :)

I did like the book, thanks. :) The part I'm confused about is when did the train wreck occur in the last battle when they were in narnia pretty much the whole time. If it occurred in narnia, there are no trains. Sorry still confused. :p:confused:

Okay, now i understand what you mean ;).

In our world, Peter, Edmund, Lucy, Digory and Polly (among others) were involved in a train crash. Just a moment before i believe Eustace and Jill were 'pulled' to Narnia basically, the others were killed at that moment. So Eustace and Jill almost died in a train crash in our world, but were taken to Narnia just before and died there, in the last battle.

Jill and Eustace were killed in the battle? I thought that they just were thrown into the stable.

I'd always thought that when the children went to narnia they went there physically. So Jill and Eustace went through the stable door in their physical form having been dragged to narnia before the train crashed, and on the other side, in the stable they are there in spirit (and presumably dead -otherwise they seem to have moved to the aftelife without actually having died - is this possible? My hypothesis needs some fine tuning) So Lucy and Edmund etc are only there in spirit, their physical bodies having being mangled by british rail.

Eustace, Jill, Lucy, Digory (the Professor) and Polly are all traveling on the train while Peter and Edmund are waiting at the station with the rings. On another train also involved in the crash are Mr and Mrs Pevensie. In PC, the four siblings were merely waiting for two trains (one for the girls and one for the boys--two separate schools). There was no crash in PC.

gair, I pretty much agree with your assessment of what happens with a few tweaks. When one travels to Narnia, they do go there in body. They return the split second they leave. In TLB, Eustace tells of feeling a couple of jerks and bumps before they arrived in Narnia. That meant that they were pulled into Narnia a split second before they were killed in the crash, still uninjured.

The stable represented the exit from Narnia. As soon as Eustace and Jill entered into the stable, they were sent back to Earth during the crash. They were killed and joined the other five Friends. Note how their clothing had changed and looked like the rest of the Friends in similar Narnia dress.

Since the others never went to Narnia, they went straight to the beginning of Aslan Country.

Mr. Bob, I completely agree with your analysis of this! I remember Eustace and Jill having mentioned that they thought it was the beginnings of a train wreck but they had felt no pain, and they found themselves instantly back in Narnia!

For Lucy Fan, the events that took place in TLB happened about 1 year after they had previously been in Narnia, which is The Silver Chair! And before that a year went by from when Eustace had been in VoDT! And another year between PC and VoDt. So there is a 3 year difference (our time, not Narnia time) between the end of PC and the beginning of TLB! All of the entire family died, except Susam in TLB! Even the Pevensie's parents! The seven friends of Narnia had been searching for the yellow and green rings in order to find a way into Narnia after they had seen the vision of Tirian. I personally think that Eustace and Jill were already dead before they came to Narnia. If you all remember the end of The Silver Chair, Aslan allowed Caspian to enter our world for five minutes even though he was already dead in Narnia! So, I do think that it is possible that Eustace and Jill were already dead...it was actually their moment of death that sent them to Narnia! :D
