Orlando Bloom to play Caspian?

Due to his success in "Kingdom of Heaven" former elf Bloom may play the young but valorous Caspian in the 2nd Disney flick of the Narnia series. With Lord of the Rings and Pirates of the Caribbean, the Narnia sequel would make him a three time winner in the fantasy bonanza now hitting Hollywood.

His sudden availability is due to production problems on another project, which may delay release or completely send the film straght to dvd based on screenings responses. Opening room in his schedule is now available for a tight shoot on a strictly paced shooting schedule with pickups. The actor's slight frame and youthful appearance may convince audiences he is a boy Prince.

Is this why Disney is delaying principal photography for "Caspian"?

Bloom's current acting gigs end at the post prod on Caribbean 2 and principal filming Pirates 3. Rumors about the actor's unhappiness with proposed editing might be making him anxious to resume leading man roles.

He is unsigned to other projects as yet after those above.

Tom Wilkinson may play Uncle Miraz.

Trivia note: Wilkinson was almost cast as Denethor or Theoden in LOTR but didn't want to take the long time off away from family.
 
Of course he won't play Caspian :)

1. I would scream my head off and then hurt people until I had my way (Bloom NOT playing Caspian). :p ;)

2. Bloom is far too old to play Caspian. Bloom is around 30, Caspian should be 16/17ish.

3. Walden would logically cast an unknown talent to play Caspian, tis cheaper and more reliable.

Where did you find this info? (Just out of curiosity).

Moved to Hunt for the White Stag.

sure i luv orlando bloom and he does look young but i don't think he is suited to prince capciacns role.soz dats just wat i think

I'm with you, I would have to kill a casting director somewhere for that one...
 
Don't get me wrong, I like Orlando Bloom (heh I have like 6 small posters in my room of him), I thought he did great in LOTR and POTC - but he MUST NOT play Caspian, simply because he is too old to pull it off...others may differ with me, but I put my vote in for an unknown, between 14-17 years old.

Orlando Bloom CANNOT play Caspiam coz he's too old. Okay he is cute but definitely can't play that role. If he will, I will kill the casting director.
 
Wow, I totally agree with everyone...It would be a crime if orlando bloom played Caspian.

He is too old to play a young man like Caspian, and its just impossible..i laugh to even think of the movie people thinking to put him as the part of Caspian :rolleyes:

No..he's too well known. They need someone YOUNGER first of all, and he is just ...too well known. They need to find a kid that was like Will, Anna, Georgie and Skandar. Just a regular kid with good acting skills.

Eeewwww... don't even say that. At one point I'd have to kill the director because of that, and two, he's WAY TO OLD and HAS NO TALENT WHATSOEVER. :rolleyes: They can't cast him as Caspian. I'd die.. and then where would we be?
