All right, we've had our share of "who would win in a fight threads. It's time to pit the two greatest dwarves in an epic duel.

In one corner we have Gimli son of Gloin.... in the other Trumpkin the Dear Little Friend.

While I like them both, I got to cast my vote with Gimli. Namly as Trumpkin seems like the type who may accidently express doubts in the existence of the Lady Galadriel. Gimli as we know does not take lightly to that.

My money would go on Gimili, though I think it would be close. Gimili was raised in a more martial environment, while Trumpkin's primary battle experience was the war against Miraz.

This is all hypothetical, of course. In reality, if the two were facing off, they'd both have the sense to ask, "What are we fighting about?" And if it was something silly like Who Is The Best Fighter, they'd both cease immediately and go have a beer together.
 
Ahhh, but what if it were something like the honor of the Lady Galadriel? We know how Gimli feels about that kind of thing.
