Great Divorce Movie?

According to the California CS Lewis society website, efforts are being pursued for a film based on the Great Divorce. What are your thoughts on that? Do you think it would translate well to the screen?

I could work, but there is a lot of dialoge in the book, which could get boring in a movoe, so they will need to overcame this.

It could be done, for sure. But I'm afraid that political correctness might infiltrate it more easily than in the case of Narnian films. A screenwriter might, for example, take the man enslaved by the lizard of lust, and change his sin into not being sensitive and feminist enough.

But if it can be done and NOT be ruined, I'd like to see Ian Holm be rewarded for all the good performances he's given us over the years by his being cast as George MacDonald.

Wow, yes, I can see that! Iam Holm would be a fab MacDonald. I agree with Narborg, though, they would have to inject some action somehow.

One action bit is readymade: when a riot breaks out among the bus passengers, and Lewis is astonished that no one is hurt by the gunfire.
