HELP! What's the difference between the original books and the adult version?

I vaguely remember The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe from when I was a kid, yet with the movie coming out my old flame has been rekinddled. I MUST read the entire Chronicles!!! But now, there seems to be an adult version of the books. Does anyone know what the differences are? Which would you recommend? Thanks a lot!
