How Big Was The Battle

I was reading Prince Caspian yesterday (still have three chapters to go) but I wonder how on earth they're going to make this film visually possible especially with the trees???.......Oh and i can't wait to see what pattertwig looks like!

But yeah i think it's possible they had that many people fighting on Narnia's behalf.

Yeah, it's gonna be hilarious! lol :p

Back on topic ... LWW implies a much smaller battle, it's all over in a couple of pages. But there's nothing in the book which contradicts the idea of a larger battle, the book just doesn't give us all the details.

Yeah, it could have been a bit more exciting.. ;) Though, in the BBC one, it was pathetic! lol  I do know they were yonks ago, and they had a low budget.

But if you remember, it would have been quite big because Aslan send the Fox into the rest of Narnia to gather troops and everyone would wanna fight on the winning side (who was good obviously)

Did any of you think the battle kinda resembled the one in "The Two Towers" in LOTR? You know when Gandalf comes in the end with all his peeps on top of the mountain. Aslan does the same in the movie.

I have to admit in my head when i read the books, the battle was a lot more bloodier. If Disney would've done my version of it it would have been definitely PG-13 close to R. b/c of the all the gore and violence....
It may have been a page and a half. But i think Lewis intend for it to be left in the immagination

Yah, I thought the same about the battle, but if you think about it, all battles are going to look a little similar, because they are all two armies running at each other ...

I agree, CSL was leaving the battle to our imagination, and Adamson brought to light his imagination of it. I thought it was really good!

so....

so is it is possible that they had that many centaurs

did they have phoenixs, and eagles dropping rocks, and withdrawel to the rocks?

is it possible

u guys are alot nicer than te imdb people

I don't know what imdb people are?

I don't see what it's not possible there were lots of centaurs and eagles and phoenixes. Lewis doesn't call everything out in the story, but I think he expected us to use our imagination -- so it follows if we can imagine a big battle, it could have been this way, with lots of combatants. Why not?

so....

it was that big, in the book

is it possible that they had such techiniques as phoenixs, griffins, and rocks, and centuar archers, except that just lewis didnt right to detailed on it?

Oh, I see. Well, they are just a small Narnia Forum, inside a HUGE movie, Forum, right? But here we are all about Narnia, so most of us really love it, and we like to talk about it, so it makes sense we would spend more time answering questions, right? People who go to a general movie website about every movie would probably have too many interests in too many different things to want to discuss just Narnia all that much.

Well, that is sad for them! You are certainly welcome to ask any Narnia questions here, and usually someone will try to answer.
