How Long Are They Going to Cast Reepicheep?

Reeepicheep is one of my favorite characters in prince caspian,almost all main characters in the film exept reepicheep...when do you think reepicheep is going to be cast?.any opinions?................................. :rolleyes:

Since Reeepicheep wil be an computerized character like Aslan and the beaver in LWW ther is not need to hire and contract an actor while the movie is being filmed. Only in the last stages of production will they hire an actor to read the lines that will be add the the computer generated character. As you all remember we didn't know who would be the voice of Aslan till about 6 months before LWW was released. In the Disney days of artist drawn animation the actors would do the reading first while being filmed. Often a real life filming of alot of scenes would be done also. Then the animators would use this film to integrate many of the actor's neuroses into the drawings. This is still done in CGA but not always. So the CGA may be pretty much all done before an actor is needed to do the reading.
 
I have a feeling they'll want to hold on to a few things to keep us interested along the way. Timmy is right. They may cast him later. He's an important character for both PC and VDT. So, they'll take their time at it I'm sure. Be patient. We all want to know of course, but we'll have to wait.

Although Antonio Bandera was great in Shrek 2 and 3, I don't think with his accent that he would fit in with an almost entirely English accented cast. I would love to see, as I have said before, Jason Carter, who played the Ranger Marcus Cole on Babylon 5, the highly rated scifi show of the mid to late 1990s. His accent, his bravado would be perfect for the role of Reepicheep.

I would guess about 2 feet. That's how tall he is in the book.

Liam Neeson was cast about 5 months before LWW hit theaters. Since Reep is a CG character, they don't have to cast him until post-production.

Yep, I agree, Unless that character has more than one role. One being live action and the other CGI. They won't cast him till the very end.
