How many Narnia films will be made??

Well - its almost certain that 4 will be done, LWW already plus PC, VDT and SC because those three may be done as a trilogy.

However, if alls well all 7 will be made!!!!

I can't believe PC will be without Anna and William that will be sad

I believe William and Anna have already signed to be in PC. I don't think there is reason to believe they won't be in the next move.

That's what I have heard as well. I have also heard that the release of Prince Caspian has been delayed until 2008.

A recent article in Entertainment Weekly has outlined Walden Media's plans for filming the rest of the movies. The order is as follows:

The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe (2005)
Prince Caspian (Christmas 2007, maybe Christmas 2008)
Voyage Of The Dawn Treader
The Silver Chair
The Magician's Nephew
A Horse And His Boy
The Last Battle

The article states the Prince Caspian may be pushed back to Chistmas 2008 due to visual effects. Equally, Caspian, Voyage Of The Dawn Treader, and The Silver Chair will be filmed back to back similar to the filming of all three Lord Of The Rings films. This does make sense as the stories take place about a year between books (our time not Narnian time), and I'm sure they want to keep the kids at a youthful age and not twenty somethings portraying preteens.

As for the last three books why the order selected remains a mystery. I'm going to assume that it will give the actors who portray the four Pevensie children to catch up in age to their counterparts in A Horse And His Boy and The Last Battle. A Horse And His Boy takes place during the time frame between the coronation and the hunt for the white stag at the end of the Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe. While The Last Battle takes place approximatly ten years after Pevensies first enter the wardrobe. If this is the plan for filming then I'm happy with it as we don't want another Harry Potter situation where the kids look nothing like their age.

ooh!! i love that pic! I cant wait for the movie to come out!!!!!!

William and Anna will be in Prince Caspian, as [/spoiler/] they are told by Aslan in the end of Prince Caspian that they are too old to ever venture into Narnia again, and in The Voyage Of The Dawn Treader [/spoiler/] Edmund and Lucy are told that they are too old to ever venture into Narnia again, so William and Anna willdefnintely be in Prince Caspian. :)

Ohhh okay... I still don't quite understand why they put Magician's Nephew before Horse and His Boy, but oh well.

Can't wait til Prince Caspian comes out, even though it means saying goodbye to Anna and Will *tear* for a while.

Hopefully fans of LWW will stay interested until 2008 when PC comes out. I'm guessing PC still needs to do well in theatres for all the rest to be made. (?)

i think all the books will be made into movies.

i think they will have to do the last battle last because the special effects required to properly capture the ending are way advanced and mabye a little ahead of current sfx

They put "The Horse And His Boy" "The Magicians Nephew" because in "The Magicians Nephew" that's the creation of Narnia.

there will be five of a total and four more to go in this order:

1. The Lion, the Witch & the Wardrobe
2. Prince Caspian
3. Voyage of the Dawn Treader
4. The Silver Chair
5. The Last Battle

They are intending to do all seven.

Therefore:
5. The Magicians Nephew
6. The Horse and His Boy
7. The Last Battle
