Inspired by Lewis

So I got this idea about 3 years about and started writing but never finished. I just found it again and thought I'd share it.
See, this idea was inspired completely by C.S. Lewis' Screwtape Letters....

Letter One

Dear Hilkiah,

I noticed you have a new child to work on. He seems to be a very adventurous boy, which can be a positive thing or a negative thing. You can use his adventurous spirit for the good of the kingdom and show him what an adventure our king has for him. However be wary, for he is quite young and he will not be able to comprehend very much of what us waiting for him. Though he may go along in the beginning, watch him closely for I suspect that he will see the laws of our gracious father and not see how they are to his benefit.
Also, I suggest you study his current living status, (I have not seen much of him because I have been working on some of the king’s children as well, and these are not so young. They have lived what earth dwellers would call a long time but really, they have barely been borne.) Study his earthly family, companions, his education source, his living accommodations, and his surroundings. Anything you deem worthy, I encourage you to keep note of it, for it may prove to be a wise decision.
I believe you to be a faithful servant and I trust your judgment.

In the love and the name of our master~

Michael

Letter Two

Hilkiah, my friend,

It has come to my attention that this child in your care is giving you quite a difficult time. It has been said that our king has plans for him and does not wish for him to be here with us yet. It seems to me that your mission as of late is to simply watch over him and make sure that he stays on earth. It looks as though this son is even more adventurous than I proclaimed.
His earthly life may be a difficult road, but in times of trouble, don’t forget to examine your options for we both know that you have quite a few. The enemy starts his works of evil very early, you may think of those complicated trials as competition for you can be sure that Lucifer has plans of his own for God’s children. Such evil he possesses can make our missions more challenging at times.
(I feel Lucifer has sent one of his best to a child in my care.) Though we have more power over them, they are sly and know very well how to slither like the serpents they are. Though we have a larger understanding of the King than his children or the enemy we still cannot understand fully, and this thought we must keep visible and near so that we do not think better of ourselves than we are. Remembering that we serve the mightiest and most powerful master there is, can prove helpful on missions.
Your child seems to hold a lot of goals for himself. This is another trait that can be thought of as both good and evil. You must know how to use it for the greater good of this son, and the greater good of the kingdom. To do this, I suggest you stop and observe the goals he has for himself. (At his age I wouldn’t be surprised if they were all foolish merry making and dreams of fortune and fame.) But your child seems to possess a certain innocence.
Goals tend to help humans accomplish things, though he might be to immature at the present, in his future you can show him what sort of goals would be wise, righteous and attainable.
If he seems to have a lot of what earth dwellers call ‘time’ (Which I’m sure he does) show him how much he can gain from the sword. Show him just the right passages to interest him and remind him to take hold of it as often as you think necessary. But Hilkiah, be careful, with the enemy already at hand I wouldn’t be surprised if he twisted what the boy sees into complicated laws and difficult history. Things of this sort could easily push the child away. As I have said, he is immature and incomprehensive. Just be careful and keep a wary eye out for Lucifer’s devils.

May our good and gracious king be helping you,

Michael

Letter three

Dear Michael,

I acknowledge your wisdom and am grateful to you for sharing it with me.
I have studied this child in his earthly settings. He has wise and righteous parents and good siblings, but his form of education is almost indescribable. So many of our master’s children in such disarray, it leaves me nearly speechless. The way some of these straying children treat themselves and their peers reminds me of Satan’s students. I believe that I am only now grasping the real complication of this mission.
I am so grateful to you for your words of wisdom. I wish I could repay you but you are Michael the great cherubim.
I am being careful as one in my position may, but there are many new thing here that seem to change the situation completely. I certainly have a son forth fighting for which makes my mission a little easier but working against what earth dwellers call government education will be more of a challenge than I have ever had to take. Like I said before Michael, I am so esteemed that you are writing encouragement to me. It really helps me knowing all that you have accomplished, that you would share your wisdom with me. I know the king is pleased with you and all of your works. I am not the only one who thinks highly of you. Gabriel of the seraphim likes to tell your stories, and he is a marvelous storyteller. I hope I might please the king as you have.

Hilkiah

Letter four

Dear Hilkiah,

De careful my friend, your praise is high, and I thank you for it but do not let me stand in the way of the one true warrior; that is our king and master. I am glad of the opportunity to write to you but I’m afraid I have grave news. It has come to my attention that Lucifer has sent one of his most trained servants after this child. It appears that Lucifer would very much like to carry out his own plans through this child.
It seems that this son has grown quite a bit since your last letter, and as you said, this government education is demolishing. Everything the boy has been trained he has either discarded or forgotten because he has witnessed and been taught so much evil. This battle against his form of education will be a complicated one but try to use it to your advantage. If he enjoys science get him to look deeper, for proof of everything, show him how to ask questions and try to keep him a little distanced from sociology, it seems to over glorify the humans or confuse them.
Earth dwellers have interesting forms of entertainment; stories portrayed in different ways and music that is very different to what you are used to. Be wary about these things and monitor what he enjoys. This time in his life will be very thorny for the both of you.

May our merciful god be with you.

Michael

Letter five

Dear Hilkiah,

I am worried for you, my friend. It seems that this son of God is not ready to embrace being a man. He does not seem to understand how to react in times of small struggles, though I cannot say I know an earth dweller who sincerely does. But I’m worried, he seems to be drifting, I’m afraid he might go out too far. You seem to have a fair grasp on the matter but I encourage you to take hold of him in a stronger manner. In his vision things seem rather dark and distant; he needs a sign of hope. Show him that his situation is not nearly as dire as he is to be making it out to be. I don’t have very much sympathy for him because I’ve seen so many others dealing with sufferings that he couldn’t even envision. Perhaps you could show him others in greater need than himself.
This son seems to be asleep; you should find a superior way to wake him up. Show him more of God’s glorious creation, show him the gifts that our master has personally chosen for him, and show him scriptures and encouragement. But do not pity him; he does not need it yet. I suggest you go back to his friends, the one’s who really care about him, they will come to him if he is willing and I think that a good companion is good for him right now, take his mind off of himself.
Don’t let him getaway from his family either. They are there to love him and support him and he has a tendency to push them away.
Do not give up hope, like you said, you have a son worth fighting for.

In the Grace of our Lord~

Michael

Are these kind of "reverse Screwtape letters", from a senior angel to, perhaps, a guardian angel?
Yes exactly.
I guess now you can see what I mean by VERY inspire by Lewis?
When I read "The Screwtape Letters" I always wondered about spiritual warefare and if there are devils against us, writing to each other, about us, then what about the good side, the angels... so I started writing. It never really got farther than this, though.
