I have a question: When I first started using this site, it kept asking me to give a Instant Message handle. What is that? I have IM, it's um, Windows, but I don't know what in the world a handle is.

"Handles" mean your made up name on your instant messenger.
For example, my "handle" on the Dancing Lawn is LadyEm.
On AOL instant messenger it is "EmilyofDreams."
It is any name that you give on the internet in chat, forums or IM that isn't your real name. Like the one you are using right now on the DL!
