no the professor is digory kirke who comes into Narnia when it is created. You can read about him in the magician's nephew. other questions can be answered about him under the book discussions.

no the professor is digory kirke the first child to get into narnia and see it created thats in the magicians nephew. he brought an apple from narnia to cure his sick mother and then he planted the core in his garden and it grew into a tree and then the tree came down in a storm and he bulit the wardorbe from the wood of the tree

As onlymystory said the Professor is an older Digory Kirk who is one of the main characters in The Magician’s Nephew.
Aslan is said to be more like Jesus in this world. (In theory of course.)
This is especially apparent in The Voyage of the Dawn Treader and The Last Battle.
