Has anyone read that book? (Except you, Hannah -- I perfectly know you read the book. :p) It's about an Indian girl who was left behind on the Island of the Blue Dolphins for 18 years with no one and she was able to survive.

It's our novel for reading class. :D
 
I love it...Read it years ago.....
Does anybody know if theres a movie of it?:)
 
This random person seriously thinks I read every single book I am offered. And she's right! Although I'm currently reading it, I'm not finish. But I know the real story of Karana, the poor girl. It was her child, not her brother. Quite a pity that was, but I'm still at chapter one, so I wouldn't really know much. :D

Give me a break woman! You're only in chapter 1?? O_O' I'm already in seven, even though sir said only until chapter 5. XD

Audrey: I'm not sure if there's a movie, though. :D
 
I've been tempted to pick up the book, but so far, I haven't done so.

And yes, it was made into a movie in 1964 according to imdb.com

I read when I was elementary school :D it was based on the story of Juana Maria from the Nicoleño tribe....her artifacts were destroyed in the 1906 San Francisco Earthquake and Fire :(
 
When I posted Chapter one, the next day I was done. Seriously, I cannot put it down! It's so interesting, and I thought it was boring.

Chapter 7? you're slower than my sister. And that's saying something!

I enjoyed it a lot.
