Make a great Doctor Cornelius. If you people watched the Sci channel's Sliders he played a very good professor. With that being the case he could be a good Doctor Cornelius not only because he played a dwarf before in the Lord Of The Rings but also because his role in Sliders. Dr. Cornelius is not only Prince Caspian's teacher but he is also his protector and savior of his life.
I think John Rys Davies is perfect for this part because I think he could play his part really well and plus he might get best supporting actor for it if he succeeds. I know in lord of the rings John Rys Davies was a comedy relief dwarf but if his serous character like he was in Sliders and in Indiana Jones he could do the part of Dr. Cornelius really well. I don't think this opinion I know this opinion for a fact because I have liked everything John Rys Davies has been in. So I hope Andrew Adamson or whoever is the director of Prince Caspian chooses John Rys Davies for Dr.Cornelius. This is just my opinion. That is all bye.

i dunno if he would do a good job at this.
i mean he's gr8 but i just don't picture him as corneliuos (hope that's spelled right)

I don't know about him playing Doctor Cornelius, but he would make a great Trumpkin, don't you think?

Or maybe even Nikabirk...

It had never occurred to me, but I think he could make a really good Dr Cornelius!

He would also do well as Trumpkin. But then again I think he and Ian Holmes (Bilbo in LOTR) are quite interchangeable as both these characters. If you've seen Holmes' character from The Fifth Element (also called Dr Cornelius, btw! lol) you can see he can easily pull off the professor-type thing too.

I think that the Dwarfs of Narnia are modelled on real life "Dwarfs" (In the film). They are in "The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe" . So I think it unlikely that a well-known actor would play the part of Trumpkin or Dr. Cornelius.

i'd put john as trumpkin. just because dr. cornelius is of mixed blood. but it might be weird because so many people recognize him as Gimli.

This is a future movie topic. Thus.. I move to the future movie topic section :)

The funny thing is, John Rys Davies, is actually quite tall.

OMG I never thought of that but he really would make a great Trumpkin!!! YEAH! :D

No, no, no. John is being typecast as a dwarf because he was such a good Gimli, but he is a tall, good-looking actor. He could never be Trumpkin. As far as Cornelius, I am agreeing that Ian Holmes would be good. Professorish.

YES IAN HOLMS WOULD ROCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think the choise to use relatively unknown actors for LWW was a very good one.
Imagine the player of Harry Potter playing Edmund or Eustace. Then you're going to think hey Harry Potter is King of Narnia. My point is that the player of Harry Potter is known as Harry Potter and not as Edmund, to forget Harry Potter would be very difficult.
