Johnny Depp as Drinian???

I think Johnny Depp can act well as Drinian, his act was so great when he play as Jack sparrow in the pirates of carribean. Maybe he can do it as well in the chronicles of nania as Drinian... ;)

i always WISHED that Johnny would be in a CoN movie, but unfortunately...I dont' think he will....remember the new face thing...and plus he's busy. :(
but that doesnt mean i dont think he's great! hes awesome! hes theeeee best! and he would rock as Drinian!

Johnny Depp would make a wonderful Drinian. He'd be a wonderful anything, but the problem is, he's VERY busy. I mean, think about it, he's really big. That means a lot of movies, things they ask him to act him. Let's hope he gets a part in a CoN film, because I'd love to see him in one. He's got major acting skills and would be SUCH an asset to the whole thing. He's definetly one actor I'm hoping for.
 
I think Johnny Depp would be great unless they are sticking to the no name actor policy that they started with. another person whom I think would be great for Drinnian would be Christian Bale. He is one of my fave actors and he could pull it off so well. The thing about Johnny Depp is that he has sort of a rep for playing creepy guys. Don't get me wrong I love POTC and Jack is one of my fave characters but I just think Christian Bale could do a better job.

You shouldve included him in Finding Neverland as JM Barrie NOT a creepy guy.... dont mess with me! I'm the Queen of Finding Neverland! ;)
 
uhm... i haven't read the rest of the post except the one above min and the very first one, but 1st of all, he's to old right now, and he can't be in both of disney's huge series blockbusters! come on now!
 
I am saving Johnny Depp for Horse & His Boy, I want him to be Rabadash! Can't you see him leaping from the ramparts, "The bolt of Tash falls from above!" He would be a perfect Rabadash, and maybe by the time they film HHB, Johnny will be available, and the series will be so well respected, he will be glad to get the role!
 
Ok, folks, do you realize what you're saying? When a famous actor plays a part in Narnia, it's an invasion of Hollywood into Narnia. You want someone that is not well known but can act. You want someone that in your mind IS Drinian, not Edward Scissorhands in medieval costume. Look at "The Greatest Story Ever Told." Many famous actors did bit parts free of charge just to be in it because it was the "Passion of the Christ" of its day. John Wayne was the soldier Longinus who said...with an unfortunate western twang, "Truly this was the Son of God." Some people, at that beautiful moment in the film, cringe when he comes on screen. You almost expect, "Well Daisy Mae, go back and tell folks that the Satan Boys are riding into town. Maybe we can raise a posse and cut them off at the pass!"

you guys have got to be kidding me...don't you understand? a franchise will never work if you have a bunch famous actors playing the lead roles....oh, I see Chakal was already talking about this...I have to agree with you man.
 
Okay, but comparing John Wayne and Johnny Depp as actors simply is wrong. John Wayne was always going to be John Wayne, but Johnny Depp is so good, when he whips Rabadash on you, the last thing you will be thinking of is Willie Wonka. You will be thinking, "What kind of smarmy creep is this spoiled prince of Calormene?" because Johnny would bring him to life.

Yea, Johnny works his magic everywhere. Suting the movie. For instance, Finding Neverland.....I dont know many pplwho have seen that movie, yet Johnny was in it...lead role....all because he's in it doesnt mean the Narnia franchising scheme wont work.
