I wasn't sure if there was a thread for this or not...
I absolutely love this movie! I think it was incredibly well done/directed. Also I watched the A&E special on it and basically the entire story is accuarte...It wasn't biased at all and showed the true intentions of both sides and really respresnts the greatness of king Albert and Saladin...
historical inaccuracies:-no one would have used the word "crusade"- the crusades weren't named this until later so no one would say that they were "crusading"
-no flaming fireballs: Saldadin used catapults but there were no fire balls, hollywood loves fire!
-Sybila actually loved her husband it wasn't a tension like they showed...
So basically those small inaccuaries didn't effect the credability of the movie- not in the least. I personally think it is one of the best movies ever!
 
Good movie

I cannot say I loved it or hated it I thought it was well done and very intersting how it showed the history It was a good movie but just not one of my absolute faves
 
It was a so so movie for me. I just can't imagine Orlando Bloom as anything else but Legolas LOL. Plus the movie's plot just kind of wandered. But the battle scenes were good.

I agree on that..the battle scenes were good.But...a better plot would have made it all better..
 
I think the plot was quite well done. Historical movies are EXTREMELY hard to make these days.

I agree with tottyfruitty though - too bad Liam was only in the beginning. Then again, I still see him as Qui-Gon Jinn, soo...:D
