LotR the Musical!

I've always wanted to go to Canada, and I know someone who comes from there, so I think a little holiday could be in order! Ithilien lives there I think - I'm sure she wouldn't mind a few house guests ;-) ! (jk!)

Bu, bu, why they won't to do something like this in my city:/ I want too!!!

Ok, I'm going to sleep. It is very funny-when I see the time of my post in forum and the time on my clock(isn't very late but no afternoon;) ) - we have a dark night now:)

Wonderful!!! I was very upset that they skiped the music in the movies; they can hardly do that in a musical, can they?

A few house guests?!!

I must admit I'm a little pessimistic. A musical? Sounds a little silly. An opera maybe, but certainly not a musical. I saw a little of the anticipated set and costumes, though, and it didn't look too bad. I think I will see it, no matter what its like.

dont mind

i dont mind some musicals but my fave is still the one and only Phantom of the opera, as you can see in my sig. Nice sig Ithilen lol
good very good

I too live in Canada, and I found out about the open auditions for the musical two days after they were over. ) : I probably wouldn't have gotten in anyhow... but I would have been cool. I wonder if I will go and see it some day...

i have heard about the musical. i would love to see it some day. i have looked at the site but there arent any dates set that are near me;)

They recently have made the most expensive musical ever. The other musical was not doing well. The musical they made is in London. We saw parts on tv a few weeks ago. It looked impressive with a lot of changing backgrouns and they even dressed the characters like those in the movies.

that might have been the one i saw the one i saw the cite for. the demo clips were pretty impressive, though they took forever for my comp to load.

From what I've seen it will be much better than the other musical. People still think about the movies and they want the movies in it ;)
Maybe the site is new and they must upgrade it.

For some reason,I can't imagine Lord of the Rings as a musical...
Has anybody seen the musical, and is it good?

It would be cool to see, but I really can't imagine Orlando Bloom skipping along singing, "I'm the elf Legolas, come and follow me."

The Lord of the Rings Musical!

Has anyone seen it yet?

I saw it on the 23rd of August at the Theatre Royal, Drury lane in London.
It was totally amazing!!
Although it deviated slightly from the story (mainly to condense the story for the show time) it maintained the spirit of the books and even incorporated things into it that Peter Jackson left out in the films, such as Bilbo's famous line: "Don't adventures ever have an end?"

I don't want to spoil it for anyone but I have to say the Balrog scene was
amazing.
Gandalf stands alone in the centre of the stage, cloak billowing amidst a torrent of "fire" and smoke that eventually expands to engulf the entire audience, showering the theatre in black confetti which is used to represent the demon's fiery ashes!

If you can go and see it!
