okay, Maximum Ride is the name of a series of books entitled;
The Angel expreriment
Schools out, Forever
Saving the world and other extreme sports.

The Final Warning (this one isn't out until march 14th I think...)
they are an amazing set of books with an wonderful plot line and awesome characters. Here is a summery up to wear the first book starts for all those who've never read it;
A group of six kids were taken into a lab as little, little kids and mutated so they became 98% human and 2% bird. In other words they have wings. Anyways for as long as they can remember they were tested again and again to test certain abilities the bird DNA gave them. It was a living nightmare, the tests were insane and when they weren't tested on they were kept in dog carrier like cages. They couldn't escape because of guards called erasers, which are kids also mutated with dog DNA (Think like werewolves) who were trained by the school (what the group calls the lab where they were tested) as their own personal army. Then one day one of the scientists named Jeb Batchelder felt sorry for them and helped them escape, then after a few years of helping them and training them for the rest of the world he disappeared.
Years later in a small isolated house in the mountains the six kids live safely. Then the erasers end up finding them and kidnapping Angel (the youngest or the group) and taking her back to the school and well after that it's is just one exciting thing after another.
