Mistakes during the Movie!

Yeah it's hard to notice at first I think it's on the part when he's taking Lucy to his house but it could be a different part. I'm gunna re-watch it tonight just to make sure.

Lol yea me and my sis love talking to the characters in the movie. :D Like if they're about to make a mistake we're like, "NO!! No, don't do that!! Why?!?" Lol, it's fun. I'm gettin' kinda off-topic...so has anyone else noticed any other mistakes? Anyone?

The scenes during the air raid are riddled with mistakes.

1) There are no black-out curtains on any of the windows in the Pevensie's house. This was something that everybody did in WWII in England so that the Germans could not make out anything lights at night.

2) Either the Pevensie family is just really slow or the air raid sirens sounded very late. They should have had at least five to twenty minutes (if not more time) between siren and planes coming in.

3) The shadows of the German bombers on the ground when Ed and Peter were going back to the shelter were impossible. First, nothing was lighting them from above. Second, in order for the shadows to be that perfect and large on the ground, the planes would have had to be very close to the ground as well--in that case, the shadows would have passed by them at the same speed as the bomber themselves.

Hmm:confused: I've never noticed those!

I think that some of the smaller mistakes should just be ignored. It is just a movie. I'm sure the producers didn't research every little thing to make sure it matched up ;)

Reviving this.

Not sure it would be a mistake, just something unexplained.

Lucy, Susan, and Peter get soaking wet in the river during the waterfall but when they come upon Aslan, their clothes are perfect and completely dry and looks nice while their hair is just as immaculate.

Perhaps there was a spa scene that they left out where the three were pampered and clad in nice robes whlle their clothes were washed and pressed :D

You know what really got me as incredibly amazing was that the river had ice over it. A river with ice is... cold, isn't it? Yet they all seem fine and have no shivers or anything from all their soaked clothes. That was the main thing I had a big problem with.

In response to MrBob saying the windows weren't blacked out, I'd always thought they only did that in the country, as it'd be too difficult to black out the entire city. I may be wrong though.

pokemainiac, the cities were the main targets, especially initially, so the blackout curtains would have been put in London homes first. It wasn't impossible to turn the lights off for the entire city at night.

They did, as a matter of fact. I've read books about London during the WWII blackouts - apparently they were rather famous. The effect was intensified by the frequent London fogs, as well, I understand.

They shivered a bit at first, but then it got very warm, and they dried out a bit. I've noticed that if you get wet, it's cold at first, but your body and the sun heats the wet clothes, which warms you up.

The mistakes mostly don't bother me, I just think they're funny (though I never noticed the footprints; I'll have to watch for that!). When they are playing hide-and-seek Lucy runs up those stairs and tries that door that is locked, then she goes into the wardrobe room, and there are windows on the side of the room where that door was! (I guess it could have led to a balcony or something, but...) When Lucy is by the lamppost and Mr. Tumnas is coming up, her hand alternates between being on the lamppost and there just being fingerprints; you can tell they put several shots together. Cair Paravel is on the Eastern Sea, right? Well, after the corronation, the sun is setting over the Eastern Sea. And who ever heard of a southern sun?:D

I've seen a couple "mistakes" in the movie here and there, but they don't bother me. Why worry about the little errors when there's a beautiful and entertaining film to enjoy?
