Narnia in Second Life

A group of dedicated Christians have been hard at work the past few weeks wielding their pixel-building talents in the worldwide virtual community of Second Life. The Ice Castle is finished, where we have a fine time dancing and chatting with our friends from all over the globe. There is a Christian counseling center down below along with a tree house and The Closet. Not just fun and games, this area is here for the glory of God, and to share his love with those who are open to receive it. And when they are not, they will certainly be prayed for to come to know Him.

Matter of fact, I am so pleased that I was able to play middle-person and introduce our own John B. (alias EveningStar Writer)to my friends, the Narnia Ministries leaders, who have accepted him with open arms as co-leader and builder of this world, which is going to be an important Christian presence within Second Life.

Ministries of Second Life's Narnia

Here is a summary of Christian ministries available free of charge in Narnia of Second Life worldwide virtual community as written by Beacon Becloud:

As many of you are aware the Lord has set it on our hearts to have a sim dedicated to serving and glorifying Him. This
vision has come to be reality recently in the sim called Narnia.
Jampl and Broken Wing (support for abuse victims) campuses are already set up as well as the room for Bible Studies and a private prayer area near the lighthouse.
However this is only the tip of the iceburg, with the Lord revealing in each day many diverse programs to be run here. Don has purchased a beautiful castle with many floors and rooms to be used for the ministries.
The following is a list so far of the ministries which will be running at Narnia. If you are interested in volunteering for director or helper let me know. The director will be responcible for setting up the ministry and running it, helpers will be staff for the group.

Jampl- Christians connected and united in SL, if interested in supporting this vision speak to Adam Soler

Discipleship- one on one fellowship of the stronger believer taking on the commitment of discipling the weaker, or new believer

Chrisitian Singles- meeting regularly to pray together, go exploring new sims, evangelising, holding fun events.

Buddies- taking on the commitment to help one with a shipwrecked or backslidden faith

All day Bible Camp- self explanatory with fun events as well as group discussions, challenge questions, studies

Bible Studies- any version of the Bible can be used

Meetings- Healthy Chrisitian Lifestyle groups

Sunshine ministry- coffee house with gatherings to pray togeher, do random acts of kindness, help those going through a rough time, remember birthdays, weekly verse challenge,etc.

Outreach- go about SL finding believers who are not aware of the Christian sims in SL and getting them landmarks and help with introductions, etc.

Evangelism- reaching the lost of SL for the Lord

Peace Makers- those with this gift helping to handle disputes

Drama- skits to be put on at Northbound at Narnia
