Alright so check this,
This might be a crazy idea but what if narnia in its context resembles monotheism, I.E. Digory and Polly represent Sarah and Abraham possibly linking Abraham's sacrafice to that of Digory's (giving up the apple to aslan)
Alright so now check this
In comparing the decadence and fall of montheism in Isreal to the winter of Narnia (decline of teh rule of judges and kings) one could say that since Aslan is a gigantic jesus symbol (no pun intended) his death/rebirth is what brings a revival of organized faith into the holy-land and its following areas just as in Narnia.
In fact you could even take this a step further and find even more figures from the actual jesus storyline such as the good badgers living by a river (john by a sea) and the witch (a certain roman leader who's name i forget, and in all truth was historically known as a tyrant, even admittedly iby romans), Edmund (judas) and it goes on
you could also think of cornelius from prince caspian as a st.paul story, so basically now that i think about almost every part of this series is a real direct port of the most important stories from christianity
man thats weird,
has anbody else ever thought about this?
and one other slightly related thing, could the white witch also contain elements of nero who enjoyed using lime and other chemicals to turn christians into human candles (Im not joking at all) vs. turning poeple into stone
