Narnian RPG: Siege Of Gatfreid

Summary: My first Narnia-based RPG set in the time of straight after Peter, Susan, Edmund and Lucy become Kings and Queens of Narnia. I encourage people to play to the best of their ability but to also have fun! :D

Story: After becoming Kings and Queens of Narnia, Peter, Susan, Edmund and Lucy must face a new threat that plots to take over Narnia. The threat comes from the sea, a renegade band of cut-throats that terrorize the Isles have finally set sights on a greater bounty…the castle of Cair Paravel.
Led by a ruthless human pirate that calls himself Lord Gatfreid, he plans to attack the castle and take the kingdom as his own, after hearing news that the White Witch has fallen and four kids reign sovereign of Narnia from the lamp-post to the castle of Cair Paravel. And despite the White Witch being dead, a small band of her followers (the ones whom survived the battle) have joined with Lord Gatfreid to ensure tyranny rules the land of Narnia once more.
Also, the children had not heard from Aslan since he last left….will they have to face this onslaught alone?

Alisha (played by ♥AslansForgivenDaughter♥) (Various Narnian, Human) (An abandoned child since birth, she was taken by Aslan to be raised by the Beavers. True origin unknown.)

Grace (played by Aslans Messenger) (Various Narnian, Human) (A 15 year old girl whom accidentally entered Narnia when she was 5. Had been living in the Wild Woods but travels from forest to forest around Narnia.)

Jaden Cromwell (played by King Of The Hallows) (Various Narnian, Human) (A 19 year old boy whom stumbled into Narnia when he was 10. Has comrades (talking beasts) in a small hut by Cauldron Pool.)


Rules:
Pretty lax in the rules department, just don’t be invincible (unless you are Aslan).
Don’t God-Mod, say something while the GameMaster (that’s me) said another, like an arrow pierced your side and you say it was a mere scratch.
Most importantly, don’t rush gameplay too much. Lord Gatfreid has yet to arrive in the beginning, right now most of Narnia is at peace.

Note: This is slightly loose-based, but please keep your character realistic. Also, will no longer be accepting characters (humans) that stumble into Narnia. This is a time when humans are not the dominant species.

PS: If you want or don’t want an intro for your character(s), please tell me in private message. Also, I shall try to keep this RPG alive, so might expect me on more often, hopefully.

As in Strengths and Weaknesses, what she is good/bad at.
As in Role In RPG, it means what character you play...you are playing one of the Various Narnians.
Okay, you can do that. :D
Because I doubt I'd get enough people to start playing anyway.

We can start when we wait for any others who might want to sign up. And after I put up the general Intro....don't forget to PM me if you want/don't want an intto of your characters, people!
As for Edmund's age, this is technically straight after (maybe a few weeks or a month in Narnian time) they become Kings and Queens. So, I think he is 12-13 or there-abouts, since Peter is meant to be 15-16 and I think Susan is 14. Lucy is 10-11. Not entirely sure, but I think this is it-

Short Bio: Deitla's father came from Calormen; her mother from Archenland. Both parents sought refuge in Narnia during the 100 years winter, not knowing of the dangers they faced with Jadis ruling the land. Deitla was born shortly before her parents were captured and added to the false queen's statue collection. Baby Deitla was found by Narnians and raised by them, which gave her a personality unlike most girls her age.

Love the bio, by the way. But since Aslan has freed all the Narnians that were statues, I think her family is now able to be with her.

I'll start it eventually.
I have to go in a minute and I want to be here to make sure people don't play too fast.
Anyway, I'll give it another day before putting up the Intro, that way people will get a chance to sign up, because I don't want people to join while we are already playing....disrupts the mood somehow.

The Siege Of Gatfreid Intro:

Across the sea laid a fleet of thirteen ships, each with a mast that had a banner emblem upon the sails displaying a black helmet with two swords crossed over it. The flags itself displayed a black background with a white helmet displayed.
Leading this fleet was The Equador, a Narnian ship that was almost regal-looking to behold. The length of the battleship was twice as long as that of it’s smaller fleet. The billowing and large white sails displaying the emblem with pride. Despite its size, it manned only 80 men, most of which were dressed in battle-ready armour while the meagre few that remained to clean the ship were slaves.
Sitting in the Captain’s Quarters was the Captain pirate whom called himself “Lord”, due to the fact he had most of the Islands trembling at his feet and corrupted under his law. He was a good nine feet tall, a man whom knew naught of pity or mercy. Despite only being middle-aged, he understood that fear was power and he decided he had no longer be afraid.
Ever since the news of the White Witch’s demise, Lord Gatfreid was free to be out of her reach. He did rule the sea, but only because the White Witch’s reign did not extend to it. But, now she was dead and his army of pirates had grown large, Lord Gatfreid saw no reason why he should not strike now. Especially since the new Kings and Queens were at a disadvantage. For despite news of them being brought to him, there was no way of news of him being brought to them. He had to be careful, had to be cunning.
Grunting slightly, Lord Gatfreid rose from his chair. He stood in his sea-faring clothes. Despite not wearing much armour, he wore his black helmet that was greatly known and feared by his enemies. The cool metal rubbed against the stubble of his chin and his brown eyes blazed fiercely from behind the slits in his helmet.
“Ragnor!” he bellowed out.
After a moment of silence, from the shadows came a black-winged beast, a black Griffon that humbly shuffled forward while dragging a chain on its back hind leg.
“You called, My Lord?” asked the gnarled creature, it’s face covered with scars and it’s face slightly distorted as if from harsh beatings.
“Yes, bout time you answered my call, foul beast. Tell me what I want to know….tell me again,” commanded Lord Gatfreid as he sat back in his chair.
The black Griffon merely nodded silently then closed its eyes.
“I see you, Sire, attacking the castle….there is destruction and death….most of your army has fallen but…”
“But?” asked out harshly Lord Gatfreid, clutching the arms of his chair in anticipation.
The griffon shook it’s black-feathered head and opened its eyes.
“I see no more My Lord. The vision is still hazy.”
Suddenly, Lord Gatfreid stood up and drew his sword. He aimed it at the Griffon’s neck.
“The only reason I kept you alive, Ragnor, was because you had the vision of sight. And yet it conveniently now eludes you? I find it…doubtful,” murmured Lord Gatfreid in a cautious tone as he pressed the point of his sword slightly more against the creature’s neck.
Ragnor could do nothing, he feared Lord Gatfreid as much as any, mostly because of his ability to kill without mercy. Yes, Ragnor could overpower him, but then he’d risk the guards. Being timid and mild-mannered was not a great advantage, especially since he had been a seer and slave to Lord Gatfreid most of his life. He did what he could only think of…telling the truth.
“Wait, My Lord. I swear, even I have trouble with my Sight. One can’t see a definite future.”
Lord Gatfreid grimaced and took his sword away from the creature’s neck. There was no cause to kill if what the Griffon stated was true. Also, Ragnor was the only Seer in his army, it was mostly due to Ragnor (though he’d never admit it) that he rules the seas as a Lord to be afraid of.


Meanwhile…

Within the castle of Cair Paravel, there was a monthly feast and celebration to be held. It had been one month precisely since the defeat of the White Witch and the coronation of the new Kings and Queens of Narnia. Despite the occasional picnic by the shore, there would be dancing and games and merriment to be had by all. The Beavers had set up some picnic baskets while Mr. Tumnus and the other Fauns had set up the music. The Kings and Queens helped out as best their ability could allow to get everything in order. There was also speculating of wether Aslan would arrive.
But, before any of the festivities could begin, there was a messenger, a Centaur coming with news from the South.
He knelt on his two front legs and bowed his head in respect before the Kings and Queens that sat upon their thrones.

And for those with made-up characters, you can jump in to say what your character is doing and where they are, don't want to control too much. lol.
