navy seals

Bree, I think that you need to take a look at the rules of this particular part of the forum. This is again, not the place for this thread. This thread probably belongs in the Land of the Duffers. This section is for approved Role Play Games only. *Runs off to get an iMove from a mod.*
 
iMove to our sort of "get to know your fellow Narnians" section -- better fit than VDT/roleplay or Duffers.

I trained a Navy Seal to scuba dive once! It was hilarious -- he had gotten out of the Navy but never had taken a course in recreational scuba diving, so he didn't have a certification card to show dive shops when he wanted to get an air refill or go on a dive trip! So he took my class -- he was an excellent diver (naturally!) and he was a fun kid, too. After his class got certified, we were making a dive together, and one of the other students' fin strap broke; he just took off his fin and gave it to the other guy and did the dive with one fin like a dolphin. Excellent guy.

Yah ... but they made some pirates mad! Here's the sad thing ... I read the little pirate they persuaded to get on the warship was just a boy, 14 or 15. He was so excited to be on the ship, he was leaning off the back waving to the pirates, and shouting at them to look at him. And when they did, the snipers popped them. That had to be so horrifying for the little boy. :( Pirate or not.
 
My sister is a Marine in the Presidential helicopter squadron. Before that, she was stationed in San Diego and had two tours in Iraq. I also have two cousins in the Marines. My older cousin also was stationed in San Diego at the same time as my sister although they were in different squadrons. I don't remember where he is now. My younger cousin recently came home from Afghanistan and was in Pensicola, FL but he has also moved somewhere else (may be in WV or somewhere more north than that.

My dad was in the Navy during my childhood, stationed on a few ships that traveled the world. He never saw any combat, though.
