Hello, it has been quite a while.
I have recently taken the step of publishing some of my writing for Kindle and it is now available for download via Amazon. None of it is Narnian in nature, but I do have a choice of three different genres for the reader to sample:
Dreams of Flight (fantasy): What happens when a spoilt Faerie princess decides to steal a pegasus? When her father rewards her by sending her to learn to fly with his own Royal Flying Corps, how will she settle in and what will her peer-group make of her? Settle down for an enjoyably long read but be prepared for bumps along the way.
Pieces of Eight (pirate): The fearsome antagonist of Treasure Island is perhaps the most legendary pirate in literary history. Now it is his turn to give the reader his version of events, and also tell the story of his early life, how he became a pirate, and how he lost his leg.
Sidewinder Precision Pro (space opera): In the far future, space traders ply their trade between the stars and space pirates consider them their lawful prey. Standing between the two are the hired escorts - brave young people in single-seat fighters who put their lives on the line day after day. Where do they come from and how do they stay alive and sane?
You should be able to find all these easily enough on Amazon Books, if necessary searching by author (Douglas Porter). If you like what you see, please recommend them to a friend!
