New Line disses PJ, Disney to helm Hobbit?

While we owe New Line something for having taken on Lord of the Rings at all, they've done more than one thing to annoy some of us. For my part, I am prepared to be highly annoyed if it's true that they are making one or more movies of the series "His Dark Materials," the militantly ANTI-Christian series written by Philip Pullman. As some of you are aware, I have explained on this forum how Pullman doesn't only _disagree_ with Christianity as anyone is free to do; he _slanders_ Christianity and Christians, in particular accusing C.S. Lewis of racism (a charge whose ridiculous dishonesty I have proven).

Question: Would Disney be willing AND able to take on The Hobbit? It would be good for them if they did, but which company is going to do it? Will they throw it on Walden? They'd probably pass. Buena Vista? Maybe. Then if they did get it, would they be able to pay Peter Jackson all of the money he'll probably want to be paid? It's a bunch of questions that won't be answered until this whole apparent lawsuit between Jackson and New Line gets over with, OR New Line's ownership of the rights to The Hobbit runs out and Disney is able to snatch it up. Whichever comes first. That'll be a long wait though.

Yeah, it is awful that they are making a HDM movie. They should have stayed with the ridiculous horror-movies.

I think it´s awful. It would be so wrong if somebody else than PJ should make the Hobbit. He laid a lot of work in LOTR so it would be wrong of New Line to just make the film with another director.

annoyed

if new line dont give PJ the directors role on the hobbit they wont only be losing a fantastic director but im guessing a mojority of the lotr viewers
