Nymphs,Wood Gods,Hamadryads, and Naiads in the film?

It's such a pity that they were almost entirely omitted from LWW!They would've been great additions to Aslan's Army! The dryads could bee archers and use their arms to turn into vines and branches to whip and choke the white witch's monsters and naiads could use tridents like merpeople have shoot bubbles and summon waves of water to drown the enemy!I hope male and feamle version of every narnian race are portrayed in this next movie, you know to help put all those procretion questions to rest.

Wow! Those are very interesting ideas! I think it would be awesome if they had those kind of things in PC.

I do hope they are in it too. they're so kool. and Dryads were in LWW, so I dont see why they wouldnt put them in PC.

They have got to put them in to PC since they're the ones who end up scaring the Telmarines away, leading them to the Fords of Beruna and their capture. And I'm certain there going to be included mainly because the release date for the movie got pushed back to the May 2008.

Very cool. I always hope to see some really fantastic creatures each time. Would love to see these creatures used in very creative ways in battle, and imagine an awakening scene, and of course I'm hoping to see many of these things at the Dancing Lawn.

I agree. I don't think they could possibly make the film correctly without having the Dryads play a vital role in it.

Re: Jake's comment on male and female of each race

That reminds me of Tumnus asking if Lucy were a _beardless_ Dwarf. That made it sound as if either all Narnian Dwarfs of both sexes were bearded (and maybe even bearded FROM BIRTH), or there only _were_ male Dwarfs in the Narnian world. For all the approval uttered here of the sexlessness of Mr. Lewis' writing, I _do_ feel that he could at least have given us a _little_ more idea of how the more-unusual beings reproduce themselves!

(My story, by the way, assumes that there ARE female as well as male Dwarfs in the Narnian world; and, as a compromise between the implication of Tumnus' question and my feeling sorry for any girl plagued with facial hair, I'm saying that the females have _some_ facial hair, but NOT around their mouths and chins.)

i hope the hamadryads are cgi effects and naiads and dryads be human stand-ins like in the behind the scenees and bloopers

an i hope they'll make silvans either elf-like or fairy-like beings,i'd hate to see a narian dryad or hamadryad be or a moving tree be called a silvan.

other creatures

and i hope theyll put unicorns and griffins in this movie too and add some more like dragons or winged horses, maybe a cockatrice

Comment on the female dwarfs, there are female dwarfs, they are just hairy in folklore and that is why most don't realize that there are female ones. Typically, the reason they do not show that is because women today might be offended by that. At least, that is my best guess, lol.

I agree that it would be impossible to tell the story accurately without these creatures being represented. I can't wait to see what they all look like in PC as compared to LWW.

Quote:What exactly is a hamadryaid? I've always wondered about that.
a hamadryad is tree spirit similar to a dryad but the difference is a dryad is a human shape creature with leaves and braches in his/her hair and has skin/hair colors matching hi/her respective tree, and hamadryad has no human form but uses it's tree as its body and takes on human like features, sorta lika a half human half tree creature.here's a sprite sheet of some hamadryads i made.

oops forgot how tto work this srry.ok HERE'S the hamadryad sprite sheet i was talking about.hopefully this will help give you guys a basic perception.
