BREAKING NEWS

Osama Bin Laden is dead! He was the face of terrorism for almost 10 years. He was the cause of September 11, 2001. I had a friend's father die in the incident, so this means a lot to our family. Americans, rejoice!

Personally, I don't think his death will be a big blow to Al-Quaeda. As long as that ideology is alive, it doesn't matter who runs it; it'll still be just as deadly and just as hateful.

Exactly. A terrorist group is like a hydra.

But I do agree this news is very surreal.

But I wonder, did soldiers take him out? Did some one give him away? Did he go out like Hitler and take himself out?

Justice for the victims and survivors of the 9/11 attacks, Bali, Madrid and London and of course many who were killed by the hands of his Al-Quaeda. People often only talk about 9/11 but forget the other attacks I mentioned.
I agree with AK though. It is good to know he is dead but it won't change things much.

I do not celebrate death. But I do know that this is according to God's will and that He will use this situation for His divine purpose. May He bless all nations during this time... not just America. :)

I agree with AK on this one. While I feel happy that the cause of such a heinous massacre is dead, I know that Al-Quieda is still out there. It's not long until they find another head.
I watch the show Sue Thomas FBEYE, and a lot of the stuff they are faced with is caused by terrorists or Al-Quieda. I know that it's just a show but it is still interesting to note. Al-Quieda, one of the most evil, heartless, jerkish, massacring murdering groups on the face of the earth, is still out there. They will be back, and keep coming until God acts upon it and punishes them all and allows them to see the truth. :)

But Im all for rejoicing at the death of this heinous murderer. I was only about 5 when 9/11 happened, but I still remember that day as if it were yesterday.

"Freedom itself was attacked today by a faceless coward, and freedom will be defended"-President George W. Bush ( one of my Top 3 favorite presidents, up there with Jefferson and Lincon ;))

If you searched for the next five years, I don't think you would find even one American Christian anyplace who expects or wants God to bless NO ONE BUT America. But as for those nations whose rulers intentionally sponsor terrorism, such as Iran and Syria--it would BE a blessing to the populations of THOSE nations if they CEASED to have rulers promoting violence.

Now excuse me, I need to insert a retroactive addition to the original Alipang Havens novel to reflect this.

I agree with AK, but at least the worry over the last 10 years is over. That alone is worth celebrating.

I'm not sad at all to see OBL gone, but it would set a bad precident on The Dancing Lawn to have a thread to celebrate someone's death. I strongly recommend that we close this thread.

My brothers and I were watching America's Funniest Home Videos when it came on. At first I was like, "Who the heck is that guy? Is he in the rebellion in Libya?" Then, after they said who he is, it's like, "Oh, him. Why have I never heard of him?" And finally, after about ten minutes of them talking about his death, I was like, "OKAY, HE'S DEAD! SHUT UP!!!!" Because we missed Extreme Makeover Home Edition and my parents missed The Amazing Race. I texted my friend saying, "My life has been ruined by some guy's death." 'Cause he ruined my Sunday Night Entertainment! My mom said it shouldn't be breaking news. Anyway, that's my thoughts on this guy's death.

While this is an important breaking news story, there is one kind of thread I never want to see again on this forum...a thread devoted to celebrating anyone's death. Express your feelings and enjoy the freedom to express it...it was bought with the blood of patriots. But this is not the place to do so.
