Picture of Lucy and Aslan

Son of Aslan

New member
I was at a local department store and they have some small Narnia books based on the movie. There was a picture in one of Lucy with the dead Aslan. You could see the Lucy's whole body proping herself on a stone. You could almost see all of Aslan. It isn't this picture...

... though it looks like it must have been taken in the same take.

I almost bought the book just so I could rip the page out and scan it. But then I noticed it was one of those pictures that usually doesn't result in a very good scan. I was wondering if anyone has it and will share it with me. Either on this thread or they can e-mail it to me.

Thanks!

I'm not sure if this is the one your looking for because it has Susan in it, but is it close? I'll keep looking if it's not.....

That is such a sad and spoiling picture :( .

Yes, the mane was cut off in both the book and it looks like in the movie. Again it looks like the movie is doing well in sticking to the book.

That is very close. I think Lucy and Aslan were the only ones on the table, and you could see all of Lucy, head to foot, and most of Aslan. I don't think she was leaning on Aslan like that, but could have been. My memory doesn't serve me as well as I'd like.

Guess I'll have to go to K-Mart and buy the book. It was one of the small, kiddie books that has been released.

That death scene, when I first saw it in the animated movie, really really bothered me and I'm afraid I'm going to cry at the theatre. It sorta bothers me that they cut out the romping scene after he is resurrected, that is such a joyful event.

That scene is tremendously important to the story, in my opinion. Surely they didn't eliminate the post-resurrection romping scene? Surely?!?!

Lucy and Aslan

I really cried during this scene...I tried not to, but I couldn't help it! :( I think they did a great job of creating Aslan - his eyes weren't quite right, but other than that, he was perfect! YAY

I Think I found what you're looking for...

There is another thread - I'm a complete newbie here, but let's see- It's called "My images" in this same sub-forum - in post #10 by Aslan'sFriend410 it looks like what you descrbed. I'm going to see if he can get it over to us in higher res version.

Blessings,

Tom

yes they cut out the romping scene, but just imagine trying act well in that scene. it would be very hard to accomplish as aslan is a cgi creation
