i thought it was that other one.... dauntless.... no, that doesnt sound right.... well, they took one ship then when the other guys went on board that one, they took the interceptor...

No, I'm pretty sure it was the Interceptor. Here's one of the lines that comes to mind, "Sail us back to the Interceptor, now!"

The first ship they boarded, which was a frigate at least and possibly a ship of the line, was the Dauntless. That was just a ruse, though, to get everyone to sail the Interceptor, which they really wanted, out.
It's all fantasy, of course, since the Dauntless would never have been left with only a boat's load worth of people aboard (even a skeleton crew would have been about a hundred), and the Interceptor would have never been completely abandoned, as the movie portrayed her when Jack and Will swung over to her. But it's not the most outrageous fantasy in the story
