Who loves Winnie-The-Pooh and A. A. Milne? I thought I would make a tread for that silly old bear. I think Milne and lewis have a similar writing style.:D

I remember my first introduction to the Pooh-niverse. A grade-school reading book I had, probably fourth grade or thereabouts, contained the episode in which Pooh and Piglet tried to hunt an imaginary creature called a Woozle.

I have no doubt that Mr. Lewis was acquainted with the Pooh stories.

I just got the "A.A. Milne's Pooh Classics" on audio CD. I am loading it on my mp3 player now. I never heard the 2 books on poetry till now (Now we are six and When We Were Very Young).

Hmmm, I did notice that both Milne and Lewis capitalize certain words for emphasis. Like in HHB Aravis's friend says something like, "But dear, it isn't Nice.":p And when things become important, like the stable door in the Last Battle, they are capitalized. Once we find out where the stable door leads it is referred to as the Door, capital D.

Never really read much of the Pooh stories (does watching Pooh's Great Adventure count?) I love Eeyore, though.

I love Pooh! My grandmother has a collection of all the old stories, and I used to read it when I was little and my family visited her. I personally think A.A. Milne's humor is genius.

Love Winnie the Pooh and especially Eeyore. Fabulous stories. I also greatly enjoyed The Tao of Pooh which explained various Oriental philosophies using quotations from the Pooh characters.

I only ever saw the original Pooh movie, and I thought it was a nice adaptation of the book. I love those books. I have that "Tao of Pooh" book that explains Taoism with quotes from the Pooh books, and it's awesome.
