Posting trouble and a question

For some reason this is the only section of the forum I can start threads, anyone know why that is? Anyway, does anyone know how I can reach members here who haven't logged on for some time?

Its probably becuase youre new.Brand new members I think can only post here..not sure about that,but I think thats the rules.

I thought you could only post in existing threads when you first join but you started this so I guess you can in Tea With Mr. Tumnus.

The mods have stated its a new rule; new members are only allowed to post in existing threads to cut down on the amount of spam being posted. Once the adminstrator and mods are positive you're not a spammer, they allow you to become a junior member.

I've tried to e-mail one or two people who haven't been on in a while, and if they dont' reply, I wouldn't expect them too. If there's a message saying, "Sorry! That user has specified that they do not wish to receive e-mails. Contact the adminstrator for more help." then Specter (our adminstrator) can either give you their e-mail or not; at least I'm assuming that.

Specter can help you some, but remember that he's pretty busy. Always available and ready to help, but a lot of the other mods can help as well. If you can't catch Specter (Paul), let the other mods know your questions. If someone hasn't logged in for awhile there's not a lot anyone can do. If you have their e-mail off the forum you can send it to them or if you can contact them another way through information they've given you that's cool...but no one can or will give out other member's personal contact information without their permission. You'll have to PM them and wait for them to respond. I know that can be tough sometimes, but it's for the safety of everyone that this is the case.

While you're in the orange you can't start threads outside of Tea With Tumnus and you can't have siggys or pics because there were some new people putting inappropriate stuff in their profiles (according to EveningStar)and this is a family-friendly forum. I'm guessing that you're close to becoming a junior member. Glad you're here Peter Pevensie.

For that matter, Eveningstar would be a good moderator to ask this sort of question.
