Profesor Kirke/Diggory

Ok, its been along time since ive read LB, but i just re-read LWW and they called the Profesor "Profesor Kirke". I thought that in LB the Profesor was diggory and said something like "I saw narnia begin, but i never thought i would see it end". Can anyone help me on this? and also, where was Polly in LWW?

Professor 'Digory' and 'Kirke' are the same person, as Aslan the Wise One said. 'Digory' is Professor Kirke's first name, so by calling him 'Professor Digory', they're just calling him by his first name. And Polly wasn't mentioned the the Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe. Hope that helped.
