I know CS Lewis made the Books in this Order...

1. The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe
2. Prince Caspian
3. The Voyage of the Dawn Threader
4. The Silver Chair
5. The Horse and His Boy
6. The Magician's Nephew
7. The Last Battle

Why not make the Movies in this Order

1. The Magician's Nephew
2. The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe
3. The Horse and His Boy
4. Prince Caspian
5. The Voyage of the Dawn Threader
6. The Silver Chair
7. The Last Battle

Hmm... this should really be in the Hunt for the White Stag forum...

And to answer you question- Practicality.
They literally can't because the four Pevensies all need to be at a reasonable age to journey into Narnia.

Take Skandar... if you wait another five years to do VotDT, he'll be six feet tall! :D

I see the Next Movie will be released in 2009, why so close to release when Caspian took 2 Years to make.

I dont know this Skandar, but they can also take any Actors to use as the Pevensee Children.

Tell me what each Book is about.

Um...

LWW - The 4 Pevensie children get into Narnia, save it from the White witch, and so forth...

PC - They come back, at the call of Susan's magical horn, to find that hundreds of years have passed, Narnia is in the hands of the Telmarines, and their help is needed for Prince Caspian (the rightful heir) to get it back from his wicked uncle.

VDT - The two younger Pevensies come back, along with their cousin, and take part in Caspian's voyage to find out what happened to the 7 men who were faithful to his father (and sent away by his wicked uncle.)

SC - Two completely different children get into Narnia, to find that it again needs help, this time finding its Prince Rilian, who is held captive by the Lady of the Green Kirtle. (whom some suspect of being the White Witch all over again...)

HHB - A boy and a girl in neighboring Calormen escape from their unhappy land back to Archenland, along with two talking Narnian horses. They discover that Shasta (the boy) is actually the lost prince of Archenland, and heir to the throne.

MN - Yet another boy and girl discover other worlds, witness the death of one, and the birth of a new world - Narnia...where they receive a special apple that saves the boy's dying mother.

LB - Boy and girl back in Narnia (the ones from the Silver Chair, I think?) help with its final battle, to save it from the Calormenes and an evil demon called Tash. Narnia ends, but all the good find a new Narnia - which is basically Heaven...the Pevensie children, and everyone from the other books, reappear dead, in this Heaven...basically a type of "end of the world."

This is very rough, not very good at all...I hope you didn't want more detail? ;)

EDIT: Skandar Keynes is the actor for Edmund in the Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe. They can't use just ANY actors NOW, because they have already made a movie with a certain set of actors. It would be odd to people to see different people in Prince Caspian, acting the same children as the ones in the Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe...:D

The same is happening to LOTR. I don't know if you know LOTR but they started with the LOTR trilogy and next the Hobbit while The Hobbit was written first. I don't really mind. Maybe they do this on purpose so people will see later how Narnia was created ;)

If Lewis made the books in one order, why change it for the movies?
You dont understand the Question.

Although CS Lewis Written the Books the way he started them, by the end it turned into Chronicle Order, why not make the Movies in that Order. Forget the First Movie ever existed

They had to wait and see the audience reactions... and did LWW make enough money... would the fans want another Narnia movie. Then they had to go into pre-production (and judging from what they did for LWW, a pre-preproduction), casting (which takes a while, you understand), screenwriting, work on all the CGI stuff. The only reason why it didn't take LOTR so long to come out was because they had already done most of it before tFotR came out, I believe.

Wait.... haven't you seen The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe.. the one that came out December of 2005? Surely you would know who Skandar Keynes is..
Sorry to sound a little rude, but it sounds like you haven't really read the books thorougly. Why don't you go re-read the books and then come back?

And in response to your quoted post: No one ever said that the producers/directors/screenwriters or whoever is in charge of the movies is going to necessarily put out the Narnia films in the "LWW, PC, VotDT, SC, HahB, TMN, TLB" order. They could very well do something like "LWW, PC, VotDT, SC, TLB, TMN, HahB". You know? ;)

I know the Lord of the Rings Trilogy and i have them and i was amazed how quick and perfect they were made. I cant wait for Prince Caspian, maybe near the end of 2010 we will have the next Narnia Movie. :D

I never read the 7 Books of Narnia, i only watched the Movie and i loved it. :)
