Greetings to you, young Jedi, Masters, Rangers, Warriors, Adventurers, Wizards, Hobbits, Fauns, Nymphs, Fairies, Lions, Tigers, Wolves, Falcons & Falconers, Princes, Paupers, Sons, Daughters, Kings, Queens, Princesses, Badgers, PROUDFEET and wary onlookers:

You behold a funny little sign with a loud, lengthy list of greeted beings. Smiling, you notice that below the greeting a golden engraved message from the Author herself:

"And might I welcome you to our humble library. You will find that some towns of Thread can be swallowed up by the vastness of the land of Forum and that sometimes you need navigational help. Here you can find all of my tales - some with happy, comical, sad and enriching endings. So please, take a seat and don't mind my Characters that are running around. But if you ever have a question, do not hesitate to call - I'm always only a VM away..."

A young child about four feet in height races out from into a small room, looking at the weary faces of the visitors. He was a regular and happened to live in the small little place they liked to call Thread. Gaily running toward the newest of the guests, he sat down on a plain little wooden stool that had been placed by the door seemingly just for that purpose. His rosy red cheeks and dusty brown hair looked as any child's might - ruffled and uncombed. "Well hullo there! You must be a guest. We don't get them around here much, but," he bent closer to the User, "when we do, you get to hear our stories." He beamed like there was nothing better in the world, glancing into the shadowed back room. "But you have to follow the rules." The little boy turned a fierce eye on his now slightly intrigued listener. "Or you might be caught by Author. And you don't want that to happen." He laughed as he rocked back and forth on the little stool. "There's no telling what she might do to a character if they misbehave." Looking around once again, the boy continued rambling. "I'm so glad you came here. You know the Thread doesn't get visitors very often. But let's be mature. Nothing terrible should be said, but please do let the Author know you are here. She does love to hear from her viewers, but...” He said with a cheesy grin. "She doesn't come out often. That's why she sent me to greet you! Now, please take a seat and listen." The boy trailed off as an almost real excitement grew in the air. "It's about to begin." He whispered. "The story she's been working on." Popping from his seat he raced into the back room and the guest was left alone.

Well, for lack of a better introduction, the people of Thread are as eager to be viewed as their Author. Please take a seat and look into the stories that follow. Links are given below so that you might be able to navigate more easily through the multitude of pages.

Star Wars Shorts Helpful Hints

BBY and ABY - To keep dates on the years of occurrence of things such as Order 66, The Galactic Civil War, etc, gamers have given the years in the SW galaxies similar names to ours. BBY means Before the Battle of Yavin, which marked the end of the long Galactic Civil War. ABY similarly means After the Battle of Yavin.

Calendar - 368 days make up a year on most systems (this is based on the revolution of Coroscant), 5 days make up a week, and each year has at least 3 weeks of "festivals" (or 15 days) and 3 holidays which are most likely similar to our Christmas, Halloween, Easter, etc. Overall, 10 months + 3 festival weeks + 3 holidays = 1 year

Important dates - 0 BBY: The year the Galactic Civil War ended
19 BBY: Order 66
22 BBY: The start of the Galactic Civil War (Thanks to Aravis Kenobi for correction
*any corrections to errors in data are appreciated

Holoreader - something akin to a Kindle
Datapad - computer or laptop
"Holo" - something with a screen or projected image
Darksaber -

Stolen from the Jedi in their early years by Mandalorians, the Darksaber is similar to a lightsaber and has a long erected blade with white swirling patterns in it.
Naboo -

A peaceful planet where Sari, Icican, Braydo, Jet and the rest of the gang take refuge during the waging Galactic Civil Wars, it has large, unpopulated forests and dense woodland.
Mandalorians -

A warlike and violent race, the Mandalorians are separated into clans. Due to their nature and common rash, angry personalities, Mandalorians are rarely chosen to be Jedi or for peace-keeping jobs. Their in-bred affinity for wielding weapons of all kinds and due to this - they often sold their abilities as bounty hunters or pursued power themselves.

Just a comment on "41 BBY"...are you meaning the era of Phantom Menace? If so, it's 32 BBY. If you're meaning the era of Attack of the Clones, it'd be 22 BBY.

Thanks Aravis. :D I'm going off of the data on several different sites so it's hard to keep everything consistent and correct, for that matter.

Glad you like it, Copper. :) I'll have to remember "the story so far" idea too.

Go to wookieepedia.com. As far as I've seen, their information is consistent and fairly up-to-date [even with the conflicting The Clone Wars stories]. And, it's all in one place instead of being scattered.

Hehehe :) that's exactly where I transferred to. I've really liked the expirience there so far and it would seem that the info is good and up to date. Besides, you can't beat their quotes that categorize each article.

I like the idea of organizing links to all your stories in one thread. Looking forward to exploring when I have time!

I just looked at your intro page at the Spradlin link. Thanks for the warning about conditions there. The drummer-boy analogy was so personalized; how did you know that I played the drums in my highschool orchestra? Well, for such a hard-edged literary site, I'll make sure to bring along my steel-shafted spear and my Mossberg twelve-gauge pump shotgun.

Like most other talking badgers I know, I pooh-pooh the idea of stories with light sabres in them. After all, how does one sharpen them...with a focus knob? :D

Star Trek, on the other hand, is something I absolutely accept. Particularly the episode "Spock's Brain". The restrooms in the Mod Lounge are even marked "Morg" and "I-Morg".

XD Yes, well, you see - what had happened was... *grins* I have to say I'm not very much into Star Trek, but it's got some cool tech. in it :)
I can't say I know specifically how to sharpen a light saber.... hmmm... maybe you clean the focusing crystal :D
