Is Sheakspear real? Thats the question nobody has an answer to. Was he just a character made up by someone else? I guess we'll never know.

He was a writer from the olden days.As far as i know that was his real name.:)

Of course Shakespeare was real. There are all sorts of records of his existence, the most obvious being his writings. There are also several records of his business dealings - he was a major investor in the Globe Theatre in London.

Nobody has proof that he existed!?!?! Copious works of art as well as numerous historical references are considered ample historical proof for historical figures. You might as well say that Leonardo daVinci didn't exist, or George Washington didn't exist!

I think you may be drawing on some of the "Shakespeare didn't write Shakespeare" sources that have been buzzing around for centuries. Conspiracy Theorists are not a new phenomena, and that's a particular one that was quite popular in the 19th century. Poppycock, all of it. We've as much evidence that Shakespeare existed as we have that any other Renaissance artist existed.

Yeah..how much more clearer can POTW explain it?

I've only read a few poems by him...though from what I've heard, he wrote many great plays and writings.

Well, I suppose that one of the main proofs that Shakespeare was a real person, besides all his works, is the fact that we have his body and it is buried:

William Shakespeare is buried in the chancel of the Church of the Holy Trinity in Stratford. A stone slab - a reproduction of the original, which it replaced in 1830 marks his grave. It bears an inscription, perhaps of Shakespeare's own words:

GOOD FREND FOR JESUS SAKE FORBEARE,
TO DIGG THE DUST ENCLOASED HEARE.
BLESTE BE Ye MAN Yt SPARES THES STONES,
AND CURST BE HE Yt MOVES MY BONES.
