Well, I was just wandering if we have any Sienkiewicz fans over here?
In my opinion he's one of the greatest authors in the history of prose. As I read some of his books (the others that I haven't yet...I intend to ), I noticed his great ability to describe feelings, action, romance, battles. Everything you want. In all his books you can also see how he describes christianity. All his main protagonists are Christians.
Some of his books:
Quo Vadis (Roman times...the beginning of christianity - the time when Neron burns Rome to the ground), With fire and sword, The deluge, Fire in the Steppe (these last three are some kind of a trilogy - Polish wars), The Teutonic Knights, In Desert and Wilderness etc.
I've already read Quo vadis, With fire and sword and The Deluge. In every one of this stories there are battles, and in the middle of all the action a romantic story
So what do you think about him?
