Im thinking of writing a Vampire novel...well theres more to it than Vampires. lol.
ok so the plot is basically this:
long ago there was Dracula, Dione, Jabe and Therastine. These four people are the fathers and mothers of the Vampires, Faes, Werewolves and Witches. Dracula was once a man turned into demon, Dione was once an Angel then became earth bound, Jabe was demon that became a wolf, and Therastine was a woman that sacraficed her soul for powers.
Now in the present day, their desendents prey on each other. Faes have the power to draw light to kill Vampires, Vampires can communicate with snakes to kill Faes, Witches can conjure silver to kill werewolves, and werewolves can breathe fire to kill witches. But they all hunt each other.
Diana is the daughter of Van Helsing, whose grandmother was Dione. She becomes the leader of the Faes once she turned 18. Drake is the desendant of Dracula, and like his grandfather, he falls in love with the wrong woman. Christine is the greatest witch amoung her sisters, but she has huge shoes to fill since she is the desendant of Therastine. And Gabe is not like the other werewolves. He only hunts Faes, and has Vampire friends. All in all these four have a role to play, and usually its against each other.
But during human wars (big ones not civil wars) they cease to hunt each other, and come to an agreement to protect each other from human warfare. In WWIII all four races cease their hunting, but what they dont know is that Kathrine (a desndent of Dione's best friend) is trouble. Though not even she knows it, she becomes the obsession for all four of the races. And no one knows why.

DO IT!!! This is definitely something that I'd read all the way! Although I do love to read, my selection of books isn't that...variate? Well, that's not exactly true, but this is the type I like and there's lots to talk about in this BIG section (FAYS! vampires, werewolves ect.) Though only if the story is given a good plot and theme and all. Not like those 5o other new vampire novels that have come out after the Twilight Series (LOVE LOVE) because its just like copying...
Anyways, take your time to write this. Don't feel rushed or under pressure. Also, have you heard of City of Bones? The..something....subject? Well I only know what will be in your story so yeah but that trilogy is about the lot as well :D

thanks :) You know even before twilight there were SO many Vampire novels out there. I love Ann Rice, but most of the other vampire novels were cheezy and cliche`. Twilight, despite how much I love Edward, was a bit of a disapointment. I didn't really like Bella (loved Alice) and if you dont really like the main character there isn't much hopw of you continuing to read the series. Now I am anticipating the movie, but what makes it worse I dont like the actress they got for Bella. lol

ahh thanks. YOu see Kathrine (the girl that the four races are obsessed with) means pure so thus all of them have a lust for purity.

Yeah that's what I mean. Like I know there have always been vampire novels but in the past months there have been a lot of teenage romance novels featuring mysterious vampires, so were seeing a lot of that these days. And yes most vampire novels were quite very cheesy, which is why I was surprised at how I could even like twilight, never mind absolutely adore it without even knowing what it was about. It's the thing with the ties of days which was interesting. Is I mean.
Oh, Bella IS annoying. But I don't see that as a reaosn to not read the books. Well she didnt get on my nerves or anything but she was quite a something at times. So yeah if a the main character's getting on your nerves...hm.
I read a few chapters of City of Bones, but the name they gave to humans was so tacky and some of the dialogue as well that I was like "eh...no" so ppl are like "did you finish that book" and im like ima read it some other time.
I'm excited for the movie but I hope it crashes and burns. I dindt like her at first but I saw another movie (Catch that kid?) with her and an interview and she seemed bubbly, but I still dint see her as Bella. When she spoke in the trailer she sounded like a man, a lot of people commented.
The guy they chose for Edward..in my signature he looks alright but he's not so....photogenic. There are so many guys that would outshine him in there (like Gaspard in my avatar:D) but yeah. Crash and Burn oh I hope that'll happen. For various reason. I should stop.

lol I think whats his face is a pretty good Edward, he's got the eyes and stuff.
But yeah I cant really get into too much Vampire stuff. The only thing that really intrigues me is the show True Blood. OMG I love it! Its so different than other VAmpire stories.
lol and you know it won't, too many teenage girls have invested so much time in talking about the movie. lol

This story does have its love story, but its mostly about redeemtion, power struggles and how fate can change. the catch phrase is:
"Humans can choose their destiny, we (Vampires, Faes, Witches and Werewolves) had ours chosen for us."

True Blood, I want to see, but I read about it. And the director/producer's represent the vampires as like "different" people you know? color, ethnicity ect. And the intensity of physical pleasure.
So...yeahhh..haha

Oh trust me

Tolkien often spoke of evil simultaneously desiring the light, AND wanting to extinguish it. Dayhawk, is that what you mean with "purity"? That there are those who are conflicted between loving it and hating or fearing it? Somewhat like the way some people can be offered happiness and not know what to do about it?
