Decided to take up the advice Kayla (Frodosgurl) suggested to me and have started my own Fanfic of the Star Wars Universe.
This is Chapter 1, part 1.

Star Wars Fan Fiction: The Desolate Star System

Chapter 1: “The Sith Are Rising…”

“This is Blue Leader reporting to base. Come in base?” stated the X-Wing Pilot Chris Anders, otherwise known as Blue Leader.
He had been flying through space, on a recon mission to check out a floating asteroid field. His communications system was shot earlier from a few TIE Fighters. His R2 unit was working on repairs while Chris Anders was trying to make contact with Base.
“We read you, Blue Leader. What is your situation?” came a voice over the intercom in Chris’s helmet.
Chris did not respond since there was some slight static on his wavelength. The asteroid’s magnetic field was starting to affect his already damaged communications system. It quietened down after a sort while and Chris knew this was the best time as any to respond while he still could.
“I have reached target, I repeat, have reached target. There is nothing but space rocks out here. Sending co-ordinates for backup. Do you copy, base?” stated Chris as he sent his co-ordinates after inputting it into the communications console.
There was only some more static from the other end.
“Base? Aw, heck,” muttered Chris and turned off his communications systems in his helmet.
There was nothing much left for Chris to do besides continue on with the mission he was given. Without new orders, he had to stay true to protocol by obeying his last command, which was to search the asteroid field for any Empire activity.
Chris watched as a piece of asteroid rock flew past his window slowly. He wanted to keep a low profile right now and a fast-moving X-Wing was not the way to do it.
Suddenly, there was some laser fire coming from above. It barely missed Chris and afterwards Chris watched a TIE Fighter zoom above him going to the left.
‘It blind-sided me,’ thought Chris before shifting the X-Wing into gear, moving it to the left to pursue the TIE Fighter.
But, Chris did not see it anywhere. It had disappeared. All he saw were rocks floating through space.
“Come on, where are you?” asked Chris Anders right before he felt a bump from his right side, the laser beam clipping his X-Wing’s side.
“Aha! Now I got you!” shouted out Chris as he saw the TIE Fighter zoom past him again.
Easing the X-Wing, Chris shot forward fast, in pursuit of the TIE Fighter, which was weaving in between the asteroid field.
“Not this time, boyo,” muttered Chris as he kept in pursuit and fired off several laser blasts at the TIE Fighter. Some nearby rocks blew to pieces, but other then that he had missed the TIE Fighter.
“Slippery bugger, ain’t you?” stated Chris with a half-smile.
Then, as he was following the TIE Fighter, there came some more lasers from behind him.
“What the-?” asked Chris but then veered off course to get out of the line of fire.
With nobody to give him a reading of where the enemy was, Chris felt a bit stumped.
Suddenly, the communications seemed to be working again. Chris turned it on quickly. He may make it after all.
“Base, this is Blue Leader! I need assistance, hurry! The Empire is-“ stated Chris but got cut off as a laser blast hit the rear engine of his X-Wing and blew up his ship and Chris along with it.

Simon i just really have not been on much working two jobs and when i am on i try to work on my story that i have been writing for months

Okay...I didn't mean it to sound snappy.
I just missed you is all I meant. :(
Good luck with your own story. I know how frustrating or slow it can be.

Thank you all for taking an interest. I am currently stumped on what to do next, though. Want to find a star system (planet) in the Star Wars universe to have the Empire controlling it.
But, so far, have come across nothing as yet that would be perfect.
