Readers of the Punksteema subtopic within my Never-Stopping Story, a.k.a. Spacebullies, know that my protagonist Sir Ronald of Goliad, a leader of "Towermen," is an intentional reflection of the gunslinger knights in Stephen King's Dark Tower series. Where Roland Deschaine (sp?) pursued an evil wizard, my Ronald was on the trail of a necromancer called Jaheg-Jorod.
Mister King only managed to produce one volume's worth of his horror-fantasy series as a movie. Now it has become feasible for him to reset the saga in multiple films. Being my age, he doubtless regards this trilogy as crowning his authorial career.
