Oh, well maybe this will help! ;)

Here's our very first interview with....dum dum dum...Miss.Sunflower! AKA, Maggie.

Hey Maggie! Your story Real Men is one of the winning stories in the Most Dramatic/Moving category. How cool is that! Are you excited
?

I'm incredibly excited. A story of mine has never won anything.

What’s your story about?

It's, well, it's a romance. Rachel, struggling to get over a previous break-up and dreaming to get away, gets the chance of a life-time to tour the U.S. with a couple charming singers and slowly falls in love with one of them, even though she's knows her heart's hardly mended and in the end he and the group are going to leave.

What’s the idea behind Real Men? What inspired you?

Well ,what inspired me most was I could say is the group of singers Rachel travels with. It's a fanfic so those five men are real people, and they were my inspiration.
Also, a couple close family and friends and their past relationships helped fuel the explosive one between Rachel and her Ex.

Have you written any other stories on TDL? Do you plan to write any more?

Well, Real Men is the first of a series. I'm on the last one, now. It'll be kind of sad when they're over.

Can you show us a cool snippet from your winning story?

"Hey Rachel!" The cheery voice wasn't Paul's but Damian's.
Rachel was still overjoyed to hear Damian, a friend she didn't get to meet the night before. "Hey Damian! Is... Paul available"
"Unfortunately not right now, no." Damian told her, sounding sorry.
"It's no problem." Rachel responded, "He just called earlier, about something... Could you tell him I called?"
"I certainly could." Damian replied politely, then added, more serious, "I know why he called too, if you'd like to know right now."
Rachel did. "Yeah, he said he had to ask me something?"
"WE do." Damian stressed, "but before that, would you be upset if we read your diary?"
"My what!? I don't- don't have a -"
"Those entries you have around your drawings. Paul called them Diary entries."
Oh. Those. Rachel had never been a diary keeping person but still when there was something she really needed to talk about, and no one was around, she noted it quickly in her sketchpad. There was nothing really mortifying in there. A few things about Aaron when they first started dating, her going to and winning a National Irish dancing competition, goings on between herself and Vanessa or other co-workers.
"Yeah, no, that's fine. Why?" She asked, confused.
"Are you really good at Irish dancing?" Was the following question.
"Yeah. Damian, Why are you asking me this?" Rachel was growing impatient.
"Zara - the dancer for the show, she broke her leg."

Congrats Maggie! :) if anyone wants to read Maggie's story, you can find it here.

It's so hard to decide! I'm struggling between Mirrorpass, Tale of Sophia Renee, and Dear Josh...

I'll have to sleep on this.

BTW, when does the poll close?

It's so hard to decide! I'm struggling between Mirrorpass, Tale of Sophia Renee, and Dear Josh...
Gah, Lossendil! Thanks for voting me in in the first place :)

The poll lasts for one week from today. Forgot to put that in the main post. Thanks for asking.

People please! You must vote! I know it's hard. You want to give a vote to everyone but we can't. Pick one and vote. Then just let it be. If you don't vote and the poll closes, you'll be in even worse shape!!

No problem there! I just want people to vote. All the stories are good. Besides, they are all winners already, were just picking one we all agree we like best.

Personally I don't think we should say who we voted for, in order to avoid hurting people's feelings, but I have voted already. :)

Well, I would chose to be offended if someone didn't vote for me. That means that if I don't vote for you, and you are offended by that, that's your choice (I don't mean you, you, AK, you in general). I have control of my vote, you have control of your feelings. I can't help it.

Personally I don't think we should say who we voted for, in order to avoid hurting people's feelings, but I have voted already.
She has a point :)

Next interview is with...Forte!

Hey! Your story Sonorous Journey is one of the winning stories in the "Most Dramatic/Moving" category. How cool is that! Are you excited?

Wow! I certainly didn't expect that at all, given that I only had the prologue and one part of the first chapter up, but hey, I'm not complaining! I am quite humbled by this, because I am really not that confident in my creative writing abilities. It motivates me to put up more chapters in a more timely fashion, that's for sure!

What’s your story about?

My overall story revolves mostly around the main character, Kei, and his ongoing journey in his Christian faith. He is a character that has had a troubled past, and God makes it so that Kei happens upon the right friend at the right time in his life. This particular entry into the story is focused on Kei dealing with a particularly traumatic event - the death of a dear friend - and how his mental state copes with more loss in his life after his life had finally started getting better.

What’s the idea behind Sonorous Journey? What inspired you?

This is a bit of a difficult one to answer, so I'll be broad in how I explain it. I see my story as a full exploration of a "human drama", as it were. I want to make it as character-driven as I possibly can, to the point where the characters truly come alive to the reader. I see life as a journey, much like most people. It is very much a journey that God has written for us. Given that the word "sonorous" has a musical connotation to it, I took a cue from a show that I watched, which says that every person has "music" and a unique "song" that their life plays. Some songs are sorrowful, some are sober, while others are happy and upbeat. I would like my series to flesh out the characters to the point where you can truly see their separate journeys and the "music" that results from their experiences and pasts, ultimately culminating into a grand symphony where all the separate songs come together, truly creating a grand overture and sonorous overtone. A truly beautiful song.

I have been heavily inspired by certain anime and light novel series, such as Neon Genesis Evangelion, Clannad, and The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, especially in my style of writing. I am also a Christian that is reformed and Calvinist in my systematic theology, so I certainly do look at what I'm writing from those perspectives.

Have you written any other stories on TDL? Do you plan to write any more?

As for right now, I do not have any other stories on TDL. However, I do have other stories that I could put up if this story generates enough of a response to warrant adding more.

Can you show us a cool snippet from your winning story?

Certainly!

He started getting lost in his thoughts again. He didn't quite understand how someone could be such a victim to her genetics. Because that was really what caused her death. The accident itself wasn't life-threatening, though the bloody image of her body that was forever burnt into his memory certainly looked serious. But she recovered fairly well, to the point where she was coherent and conscious.

So why did she die so quickly thereafter? Perhaps the loss of blood irritated her condition even more. She had been experiencing more frequent symptoms of dizziness and sickness moreso than usual. Perhaps these factors all played a part? It was a frustrating position to be in, not being able to understand the rhetoric that those doctors spun out from their mouths. He was no geneticist, nor was he a scientist in any sense of the occupation.

But he knew the ultimate reason for her early demise. God simply wanted her to come home, simple as that. He accepted this answer, and certainly held no ill-will towards God for doing such a thing. How could he be angry at the Almighty? But he still felt the pain, and he believed that God would understand the intense period of mourning that he was going through. He just prayed constantly that the pain would lessen over time...

Yay! I'm excited to see everyone is voting.

Today's interview is with miss Powl' :)

Hey Powl'! Your tale, "Stories of a Lonely Girl," is one of the winning stories in the “Most Creative Story Idea" category. How cool is that! Are you excited?

Well when I found out I had won a story contest, I was really, really suprised, I hadn't entered any of them so it was a real shock to know that my story was read by many people. I'm not glad that I won, not that I'm not excited, I AM !! But I'm gladder to know that others read my story, it's the most important I'm also happy to know that they apreciate my work.

Very neat. So what’s your story about?

My story is about an anonymous girl (no name, no description of her in real life, no location) who has difficulties in her social life, she's not understood by others, and she doesn't understand them, and she creates her own world, where she can escape when she's upset, angry, happy. This world is completely made out of her imagination.

What’s the idea behind Stories of a Lonely Girl? What inspired you?

I wanted to understand myself, I'm kind of like that girl, I wanted to fly to another world and the idea I had was to write about it. Stories of a Lonely Girl is a painting of all the lonely people who dream of a better place for them, I don't say it's a good thing, getting locked in a bubble can be really bad. Many things inspired me but it's my school my school that made me want to start a story and all the people in it (teachers, students). I've always been fond of fantastic worlds like Narnia, and Harry Potter, I wanted to write something of the kind with my own ideas. The house I describe in the second part, is my great aunt's house, I was over there three days ago , I grew up in that magic castle (it's one for me).

Have you written any other stories on TDL? Do you plan to write any more?

I wrote in two roleplayings before the subforum has been completely re-organized. Stories of a Lonely Girl is my first project, but when I finish it, I want to continue writing about magic and fantastic.

Can you show us a cool snippet from your winning story?

A snippet? You mean like a little piece or a quote of my story? Sure! That's one of my favourite parts.

We went to Math class. I was first in Math, as I was first in every other classes, except sport. My Math teacher used to like starting a debate between me and him and then have the last word, because he was the teacher and I was the student, and that little thing called respect always stopped me. During the class I asked him something, but he didn’t answer to my question, so I asked again, and he told me:

“That’s incredible! I tell you something and you keep insisting.”
“Mr, you’re the teacher, aren’t you supposed to explain to me what I need to know?”
“That’s true, I’m the teacher, and you’re also a student. Give me your notebook of correspondence, I’m kicking you out of class.”

That was it! I thought again about Leonardo, about what he told me:

“You must never be afraid to express what you truly feel…”

His voice could still reason in my head. I stood up, but I didn’t give the teacher what he wanted, I didn’t want to give him satisfaction, so I put all my stuff in my bag, walked to the door, and opened it.

“Where do you think you’re going? I haven’t filled your expulsion ticket.”
“Mr, you’re not expulsing me, I’m leaving of my full liking.”

Congrats, Powl'! If anyone would like to read Powl's story, you can find it here.
