Susan in PC

In the BBC PC Susan didn't smile like in LWW. she used to be all smily and cheery :) . In PC she's all serious and frowny  . Why Is Susan not happy anymore. My Older brother says that Her happines is sucked out.

I think Lewis was doing more character development in Caspian, and Susan's fearful character was starting to show through. If you read the story, you see that she's always the timid one, hanging back, criticizing, looking on the dark side. She's the last one to see Aslan, and His first words to her are, "You have listened to your fears, child."

If the BBC version (which I've never seen) portrays Susan as one who never smiles, they were probably trying to capture that aspect of Susan. Not smiling at all is a bit severe - she does have some fun, and takes part in the romp with Aslan, Lucy, & the crowd, but her fear-driven character is definitely showing.

They skipped the whole thing with Aslan and the girls and the crowd...as well as the feast, when Edmund tries the moles food (*lol*) in the BBC version. :(

It could also be because of 'The Narnian air' that Susan becomes more serious because they all act older because of that and how they were as Kings and Queens. It could also be because they know it may be hundreds of years since they were on the throne and people (well people like Miraz) would not want to see them and try to kill them or something or may be angry at them for leaving. So I think she was just being cautious because of what possible dangerous things could happen.

Also as it says in The Last Battle 'I am afraid our sister Susan is no longer a friend of Narnia' so it could also be that she'd been trying to forget about Narnia and almost try to think it was a dream and then she suddenly gets whisked away to Narnia again.

I personally think Prince of the West nailed it when he said it was because of her fears that she was less likely to enjoy the time and more prone to be cynical and see the worst in situations.
