Hello. I wanted your opinon. Tell me if you think that the train and war part were realistic. I thought it was fair because of the phoney war my Grandmother had to evacuate Finchley when she was 10 then came back a while after and she said that it was like her and her family's feelings and actions, the house was very good too! I vote yes

I agree. I was already having tears in my eyes when the bombing started, and by the time we got to the train station, I was crying ... very nicely done, I thought.

Did your grandma stay with strangers?

Yes she did. She read the Narnia books when she got older and they came out and she wrote journal entries about it. Before the book was out she already gave the atributes of the Professor and the Mansion.

It was well done, I agree. However, I can't say I've ever been in a situation where my town has been bombed, so whether it is realistic I cannot say. Nor do I want to be able to judge that!

Grandmother said it was not good!

It was as realistic as it needed to be... as I can't imagine living in a city being bombed during war. My nerves would be frayed.

The only thing i think may have throws people off if they look closley is a medium amost of safty precautions they took. I dont mind because they were as safe as they needed to be.:)

:) Yeah they did I did not cry like most people because i know what it was really like from my Grandmother. So i know that thats what would happen. It was still sad but i did not cry. :)

I thought that the Blitz and the Evacuation parts in Narnia were soooo realistic! I was like whoa! I've watched parts of war movies, like actual footage, but its in black and white, so when I saw the war part on Narnia in colour, it was so realistic and really changed my views on War.

World War II was a great tragedy in itself. But it's terrific that there are survivors like your grandmother to tell the story of an era that has gone by. What better way could CS Lewis think of a way to send the kids to the countryside than wartorn London?
