The clothing

I'm with ya ;) ! I really liked these dresses. And they looked very comfortable (which is how the books describe Narnian clothes). I think the costume people did a great job with these....and I wouldn't mind owning ones like them  :D .

i bet that if you really wanted to(which i do!!!) you could find the way they made them, find a seamstress and get them to make it custamized to you....or you could find similar ones on ebay or something. ..hhehehhehe

I really lived Susan's green dress from the movie. If I think I could have an article of clothing that matched one from the movie, I would choose that dress. However. all the apparel was very well thought out and nicely done.

I thought that the clothing and costumes in general during the movie were fantastic.

The clothing reminds me a lot of what the clothing was like during the middle ages in England.

Peter, especially because of the Lion symbol on his shield, reminds me a lot of an old English king, Richard the Lionheart.

The costumes were excellent, especially Susan's and Lucy's dresses they wore in Narnia... I too wouldn't mind owning Susan's green dress xD It was very nicely done =3

Yeah i read that the costuming design people had to travel to a clothing museum that had replicas of clothes people wore in 1943. Which was close to 1940 which the LWW was set in. The costume people then made exact copies of the clothing which they saw in the museum.

The Dresses were lovely! Anna and Georgie looked really good in them :)

I'm w/ ya! i loved their outfits that scene i went and saw the movie w/ like 20 frenz and we all were talkin about their clothing in that scene...although i didn't think that peter's and edmund's clothes were that great i think they could've improved on that but it still was good

Pattern?

I loved Susans dress that she wore in Aslan's camp. (the green one)
Does any one know where I could get a pattern? I'm 16 and having the
same figure, I have a hard time finding clothes, so I make my own.
Any help would be appreciated. :)

I'm a lad so don;t know too much about dresses lol...but I thought the costumes in general were AMAZING, especially some of the white witch's

i said to my friend "where does she keep getting all these new outfits from?" lol

liked aslans fur as a nice touch on her battle dress lol

I thought the dresses were alright, but they weren't quite what I was expecting. There's a passage in SC that says, "- they were the kind [of clothes] that not only felt nice but looked nice and smelled nice and made nice sounds when you moved as well -" (SC, chpt. 3), and then there's another in one of the books that talks about now nice and flowing Narnian clothes are..."without hint of starch or elastic" I think the passage goes. So I suppose that the clothes just weren't as "flow-y" as I'd always pictured. Less middle ages and more magical. If that makes any sense. :p

I also loved Susan's green dress. I'm thinking about finding a pattern for it and having my grandma help me make one. She helped me make a dress similar to Arwen's Blood Red dress from LotR and it turned out beautiful. I want another dress to wear to next year's Renaissance Faire and I think a Narnia style gown would fit in wonderfully. If you go to the costume part of Narnia Web they have info. on most the costumes. No info. yet for the costumes for adult Lucy, Peter, or Susan (cause I would like to have a pattern for the adult Lucy or Susan dress too). But they have info. on Susan's green dress and Lucy's blue dress. Also their coronation gowns. I love this site...here's a link to it if ya wanna check it out:

Of the coronation gowns I like Lucy's the best. But I'm a boy so I don't know if my opinions matter to all you gals. :)

i know this will sound rlly weird because im a girl but do you not think that the reason people like susan's dress more than lucy's is due to the way that susan's dress erm shows off her curves?
