The Fairies War

The Fairies War must end
We have been fighting way to long
Fairies are known for peace
However it seems no end

I am catch in the middle
between two great fairies
one of wisedom and one of beauty
both very strong
How am I going to end this great war

It seems no end
It seems hopeless
both stuck on the great path of distraction
End this war of fairy hate

Come to a path
we're we can play
in a place of peace
and love

End this fight
two strong one
End this hate
Listen to each other

Listen to the young and old
Learn from your past
Move into a better future
Become great together!

Perhaps a moment will come in which a mortal human, the far-travelled Russian bard Sadko of Novgorod, will be able to contribute something to the cause of reconciliation.

Indeed, I am sad to say that this is sailing way over my head. :(

Would you kindly enlighten me? :)

And just a note, it would be a good idea to check grammar more carefully. Even slight mistakes, like "we're we can play," can leave an impression, and first impressions are important. ;)

Lossendil, it's a show-business thing. Wherever there are Renaissance festivals or science-fiction conventions, there will be clubs and societies of persons with related interests. These groups are not CONTROLLED BY the festivals and conventions, but they have DEALINGS WITH the festivals and conventions. The groups may be of pirate wanna-be's, or vampire wanna-be's, or ninja wanna-be's, or many other things; anyway, they attend the events in large numbers, and become part of the action.

Sonata is referring to a group of mostly women who are into performing as fairies. Note that the concept of a "fairy" originally did not HAVE TO mean a female; check out the character of Oberon in Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream, who is male and not at all effeminate. The Colorado Fairies allow male participants.

Sonata is privy to some difficulties with this group. So am I. But neither I, nor Sonata, ought to name any names.

I'm sorry that it lost you

I am sorry about the grammical errors I have a lot of learning disabilities and when I read something it looks and sound fine to me however one someone else read it the find a lot of mistake. Most of the time I post something is in my heart and whatever comes out comes out

Thanks, CF, for the explanation. It gave the poem more depth.

And forgive me if I was too harsh, Moonlight. (May I call you Moonlight?) I'm not sure why, but little things like that simply stand out to me, especially when reading in English. On the other hand, I have a heck of a time picking out mistakes in Chinese, even if that is my first language. And I know what you mean about writing from your heart. Sometimes I am so caught up in writing that I'm trying to get words from mind to paper as quickly as I can, and have no time to spare considering whether my words are correct or not. I even lose track of what dialect I'm writing in.
