The Last Fairytale

Do forgive me for the lousy title and my apologies to the girl who wrote The Fairy Tale. Im not copying you I just had no other senseable title for it. The idea is that this is the final installment of J.R.R Tolkeins Silmarillion universe and a tribute to Tollers himself. I own no rights to the Silmarrilion or anything therein. I just simply want to satisfy the hunger for another story.

January 7th 1931

A young scientist discovers from his father that elves and dwarves actually existed but were wiped out during the "Christian" invasion. His father sends him on a mission to stop Melkor (also known as Morgoth) from gaining control of the nazis who threaten to start a second world war. He must team up with such fantastical races as elves dwarves and even a jack o' lantern to form the Final Fellowship and stop the combined forces of the corrupt Catholic State, Nazis and even orcs from conquering the world.

tell me what you guys think?

This fic is'nt really a fic at all, more like a Fairy story and it will be told in that fahion. it is the final chapter in the climactic books and works of J.R.R. Tolkein. It deals with the disappearance of the Hobbits, Elves and the Dwarves and the reason tolkein knew all about middle earth. however this is a fictional story and I Claim no rights to J.R.R. Tolkein's books, mechandise, movies, or any thing related to the world of Middle-Earth. I simply wish to write to satisfy the yearning for more Middle earth Tales that us nerds so anxiously want in every fibre of our bodies. that in mind I dedicate this fairy tale to a group of people. thank you and enjoy the final installment of Tolkeins universe.

This tale is dedicated to:

Tanner bost, my lifelong critic and freind...

...Chelsea bost, my fellow writer and poet and my best freind...

...and Lastly to J.R.R Tolkein, or Tollers as he would of liked to be called, for supplying us with the greatest fairy tales of all time.

I Humbly Present...

Chapter One- How It All Began With An End

April 7
1931

My name is Charles Elliot, a professor at Yale on the subject of mythology and science, my father's name was William Elliot. He was the one person who explained to me the happenings all that I am writing now. The Events I will tell you are of a fantastical and strange nature.

If you are a scientologist, evolutionist, or any other of the narrow minded people that make up the world as it is today then I suggest you stop reading. for the things to come will make little sense to you. So without further redue I will regale to you the tale.

It all began one day, one wet and rainy april afternoon as it were. My father had requested over the phone for me come to his bedside at Morgan & Philips Medical center where he was staying and I was walking to the center.

you see, he had been diagnosed with cancer and there was little the doctors could do about it. He Had 12 months to live, however the stage of cancer which he had was immature. so despite my father's objections they continued to care for him in the ward that my father described as a "varitable hell".

He had said "They treat you like children, expecting you to fall apart any moment and never letting you stand on your own two feet". This was'nt senility of an old man, It was the truth as a matter of fact, I had seen it myself but despite all of the complaining old men in robes my father never said a word. he was very civil to the nurses and doctors much to there suprise.

OMG! just about every fic on this blame page has at least 5 replies that werent by the author...if you care that little to even comment on the fic then im shutting down!

Look, Dwarvy, patience is the key. The title of a story is everything if you want someone to look. It's all about what catches the eye. Give it more time and post more. Really, it doesn't matter if nobody reads it. The important thing is that you make yourself sit down and write it. Self motivation.

Now, I just read your two installments. How on earth did the elves, dwarves, Melkor, and other fantasy creatures end up on earth? And what is the "Christian invasion"? The Crusades?

Sorry for my whinyness, Its just a little discouraging when nobody reads...about your question. tolkien always refered to his middle earth as an actual(yet fictional) event in a history that we've since forgotten. forgotten beacuse during the middle ages the anglo-saxons took over much of norway and greenland, the two possible places where middle earth could have been located. the rest of your questions will be resloved when I repost soon :D

ok mods...let the post die in peace!

Don't get frustrared when i first started writing on here I was discourged which is why I gave up at first but now I got the nerve back up to try it agian Just be patinence Dc 77 I am sure your story will be enjoyed just don;t give up and keep trying that is what I do

yes, patience my lotr fellow person. it takes us awhile to start posting on things sometimes. besides, you only have to posts so far relating to your story.
it is good so far though. is it going to be like tolkien's essay on fairy stories or an actual story? keep posting lol

it will be an actual story not an essay, as C.S lewis quoted in The Horse and his Boy: ''The Calormen children learned the art of storytelling much like children today learn to write essays. The only difference is I never heard of anyone who would want to read an essay.''

I'm glad to see another Silmarillion fan out there, and I'd like to read this story, but I can't. Although not a Catholic myself, I know it is extremely historically inaccurate, not to mention impolitic, to claim or hint that the Catholics were somehow allied to the Nazis during the Second World War. Tolkien himself was a devout Catholic, in case you didn't realize. I would suggest that you choose a less potent setting for your story, but if you will stick to it as it is now, I don't think I can read it. I'm sorry.

I knew I would run into some problems here. there is a difference between the present Modern day catholics and the Roman Catholics of the middle ages.
The corrupt Roman catholic church blinded people for decades which is why it is known as the dark ages. secondly I am a christian but i, in no way, approve of the roman catholic church.

They burned great men at the stake(william tyndale being one of the thousands who translated the bible into english) among other cruel exectutions. I am not refering to the "catholic" church In general as much as i am about the "corrupt Roman Catholic" chuch of the middle ages. persay since this is a fictional world I am asuming in the Silmarrilion Universe that the corrupt roman catholic church still exists

Now as far as the Roman catholics Joining the Nazis it is quite probable. Hitler himself was a devout Roman Catholic and the reason for this is because the Roman Catholics saw themselves as Gods chosen people and chose to wipe out inferior races which makes my previous post(not my previous bu the one before that) relevent.

Miner note: Tolkein was a Catholic, on of the more pure christian demoniations, not a Roman Catholic

Excuse me. Tolkien was most certainly a Roman Catholic. You may look up any short biography on Tolkien which will in all likelihood say the same. Besides which, the Second World War did not occur during the Middle Ages. I agree that some of the things the Catholics did during the Middle Ages were wrong, but they had changed dramatically by the 20th Century, don't you think? However, I am not trying to attack your idea of the Catholic church, but to set you straight on a very well documented historical fact: The Roman Catholic church, as a whole, did not in any way support the Nazis or ally with them.

The Roman Catholic church, as a whole, did not in any way support the Nazis...

They most certainly did! Pope Pius XII had a huge hand in getting Adolf Hitler into office. And not only that, but during the whole WWII, he didn't demand (Which he could have done by excommunicating him) that Hitler pull his forces back and stop WWII.

but for the love of all that is holy, if you wanna debate this then go to the Socratic Club forum. This is just a fictional story that will not line up with reality. JUST FICTION!!! im not saying that the nazis ever allied with the Roman Catholics. its "FICTION".

Then please continue the story! The first piece was a bit too short for my liking! :D :p

I think people shouldn't juge. It is fiction and when people say I can't read this because I am in disagree with you, they forget the whole fiction thing. Harry Potter is also fiction and so is LOTR. So if you want to continue your story, continue when you want Joe. I don't think it is incorrect because there is nothing to complain about.

yes, like ness said. dont simply quit cuz you get a bit of negetive feedback. its part of authorship. many of the great authors would never have gotten published if they quit as soon as someone disagreed. besides, i was enjoying reading this. :D
