The names in your language

This question is for people who live in a country where the English is not the language!

When some books are translated for other language,sometimes the names of the characters change!In my language for example(portuguese),the name "Peter" is Pedro,"Lucy" is Lúcia,Edmund is Edmundo,"Susan " is Susana...

And you?How do you say/write in your language????

not quite true, Laura, in dutch a lot of names changed....

example:
Truffelhunter - truffeljager
Trumpkin - Trompoen
White Which - Witte Tovenares
Eustace Scrubb - Eustaas Schreutel
Jewel - Juweel

and other names too, these just popped into my head:D

I meant all names of the Pevensies... :p
 
I don't think a lot of names changed in the french translation.... Excepting for the White Witch, it's "La Sorcière Blanche" in french and a few others... But for the Pevensies, none of them changed.
 
In Spanish Laura Shelby is written just like that, honestly. In Turkish Lion is[and I am not joking] Aslan. In Germany Lion is En Loin and In American[eniglish] it is Alsan,lion and Laura :p

But Peter is Pierre, I learned that in my French Religion class.

Mrs. Beaver=Mme Castor
Mr. Beaver=M Castor
