the other rings...

ok ive read the three LOTR books twice, but i forgot something. there are three rings for the elves, which gandalf, elrond and galadriel have; sauron's ring; the nine for the black riders; but waht about the seven for the dwarf-lords? does anyone remember what happened to those? anyone who knows about this please help!

At the Council of Elrond, Gandalf says the Seven are "lost or taken", i.e. retaken by Saruon. The last one they knew of had belonged to Thorin's father Thrain or his grandfather (I forget which), but he was taken by Sauron who imprisoned him in Dol Goldur and took the Ring from him.

I think 3 were retaken and 4 were consumed by dragons or by dragon fire.
