There's a book called, "The Redemption of Sarah Cain" by Beverly Lewis, and there's also a film based *albeit loosely* on the book by the name of Saving Sarah Cain. Both are really good, so if you've seen or read it, discuss it here!

I love both the movie and the book...basically I like anything Beverly Lewis writes so yeah..:D The movie is awesome though..even better than the book imo.Michael Landon Jr is a great director.Have you seen The Last Sin Eater that he made?:)

No, I've wanted to though.

And MJ, Jr., good director that he might be, apparently either can't hire good writers or wouldn't know a good script if it bit him because nearly all his films that are based on books are so far from the books it's like PC to some; doesn't deserve to have the title. *i.e. the Love Comes Softly saga*

but it was a good movie. I thought the Amish kids were adorable. and it made me cry; any movie that makes me cry is a good film. :D

Haha yeah I agree with that as far as Love Comes Softly goes but since I only own/watch the first 3 it doesn't matter.:p The Last Sin Eater follows the book quite closely however which is nice.:) I thought the changes to Saving Sarah Cain were for the better imo... ;)
Same with PC... the book bored me to tears.

*honestly, Iagree with you about PC. ;)* But I thought the book and film were both really good. and I didn't know that the Last Sin Eater was a book....so I guess it'd make no difference to me, lol.

Yeah I don't think a lot of people know the book.:( Francine Rivers is the writer..it and "Redeeming Love" and "The Atonement Child" are her best works.:) I read it when I was 10 and fell head over heels in love with the story.I literally was bouncing off the walls when I heard it was going to be a movie lol.:p I should warn you it's really sad though....

You'll like it. It's different from the film *one of the biggest being the attitude of Sarah; she is NOT that snippy in the book as I recall* but they're both good in their own way(s).

Petra have you read anything else by Beverly Lewis?:)Her "Annies People" series is good.

Oh btw you should know that The Last Sin Eater movie is PG-13 for a scene of violence.:(Soren Fulton plays Faygin in it(Calen in SSC):)

no, not yet. I was going to buy the Annie's People series but they didn't have the 1st book so I haven't read them yet. But I will have to wait a while to start any new book because I'm about to start reading Rilla of Ingleside and when my SW book comes in, I'm pouncing on that one. :p

LOL..sorry..I do that a lot. :p

Was I the only one who thought it was kinda funny that Sarah's boyfriend had an English accent?:p I liked him though.:)
