I had a question for you all...
I've been reading Narnia since third grade (about 14 yrs) and finally picked up the big collection that came out this last year with the movie. In this collection I noticed that the ending of "The Dark Island" was different than the one I've been reading.
In the old one, Rhoop asks Caspain not to ask or have anyone ask what he saw on the island, then they sail off with it dwindling behind them.
In the one I have now, Rhoop ask Caspian not to take him back to the island, but that doesn't matter because the island has completely disapeared. Rhoop exclaims that they have destroyed it, but Lucy implies that it was Aslan that did.
The old one was printed in 1970, the new one this last year or so. The old one is from a publishing company related to the original publishers, the new one is a different company.
So which one is the original? Or is there a third one out there? Do any of the other books have the same thing?
