VDT Release Date

Okay...there are rumours that VDT will be released in December '09...whereas some people say it'll be Summer '09. What's your opinion?
 
Better sooner than later, though. However...with these visual effects, it might be December. However, since it's mostly Water and Reepicheep they have to animate digitally...maybe summer?

Of course we'd all like to see an early release of the film, but I have to say that I would rather watch a film that was well made, where they did it right, and took the time to do so than have a film rushed through and end up hating it.

Same here. I'm willing to wait a few years for an excellent movie.

No darlin'. You might want to read the interviews from Doug Gresham rather than comingsoon.net. PC will be released May 2008. The live action production will be done much sooner, but the special effects work will take that long to do. It' won't be sooner. Mr. Gresham made it clear that he wants to see roughly 18 months between movies so that there isn't a long break like there was between LWW and PC. So, I wouldn't look for VDT any earlier than Fall/Dec 2009. I don't think we need to second guess the info that they're giving us from Walden and they've been pretty forthcoming with their plan of action for making/releasing the movies.
 
WOW! Oh, I'm so excited! I don't care how long it takes for them to release it.. but it HAS to be good. I think it'll probably be released in December 2009. Summer seems a little too early.
 
Really, it'd be best to have a Christmas release anyway. It seems the highest-grossing movies always come out at Christmastime. This excludes the summer hits like Star Wars and Indiana Jones. At any rate, it isn't a real problem if it comes out a few months after everyone expects it. We just want a perfect movie, which rushing usually undoes.
 
Everybody knows they would eventually. They'll also make The Silver Chair, but it's a rumour they'll make The Magician's Nephew before The Horse and His Boy.
